Time to crack open a bottle of red to aid with teh stew. Is it sacrilegious to use a Châteauneuf-du-Pape in stew if you intend to drink a good bit of it?

Bonjour!Absolutely not. Enjoy! :-:

They'll know you are legit if you flash that. It got me into the elevator at the W D.C. when I was nearly too drunk to walk.

I think everyone makes that mistake and smb12 knows that. It just a matter of how quickly they learn of their the reading mistake.

In other news, last week Rachel Maddow got someone fired. Today John Stewart got someone fired. Both fired for the same reason.

Well, glad that at least you got a 'hint' that you're in the clear -- for what that's worth!

I did not make that 'mistake' w/sbm12's blog. When I first saw it -- I thought it was a very clever moniker!^:-:

Have no TV out here -- so pls fill me in on the details re: the firings!

I actually happened to be reading "The Gospel According to The Son" by Norman Mailer when I first came across sbm12's blog, so actually had Aramaic on the brain. Weird that tonight's discussion should trigger a memory of reading that book and clicking on his blog for the first time.

Thanks!^ No need to borrow card to drink -- am pretty much a lightweight -- champagne or wine will do it for me!;)

William said that a gold could be added as a +1 for a plat -- so as long as you aren't going to '+1' someone else (that you pick up along the way!:D)-- I am pleased & grateful to be a +1 for this CCC tour!^:D;)

Somehow I suspected you would chime in. :D

I opted for a 2007 Montes Cabernet Carmenere, as my cheap-o 2003 Perrin & Fils Chateauneuf-du-Pape wasn't at the right temperature, and apparently requires a lot of time to breathe before it is at its best...

When I cook with wine, I'm usually the only one drinking it so I feel I'm doing a disservice to the bottle if I don't cook with it.

Yes, but considering I've read his blog/looked at his photos oh, probably over 100 times, pretty much means I've made the mistake over and over and over well you get the picture. I'm glad another esteemed boxer and I have created some fun for teh box. :p

I don't know the details of John Stewart getting Betsy McCaughey fired today (I'm sure the video is on YouTube) but last week Rachel got Dick Armey fired on Friday. Then she had to sit next to him on Meet the Press two days later. Both fired over statements they made because they are death eaters and bringing unwarrented attention to their now former employers.

Wow, pricks all around in IAH-E tonight. I went to the desk with my PC card and ID for me & my wife. I asked if we could please get gate passes. The lady shakes her head violently & says firmly that "You can only go through security when you travel anymore." I stated that PC members can get gate passes for themselves and two guests and she said that I couldn't. I told her where it was in the computer and she said that she wouldn't do it for us. I asked for a manager and she got the guy from the next podium and he explained the same as she, that only travelers get boarding passes. I went through the same with him & he punched away on the computer and "doesn't see anything." I asked him to call to the club and he finally did. He was a prick when giving our stuff back.

Then the walkway to the TSA was totally roped off. We & a couple in front of us wandered all around it and finally went to the middle, where the non-elite access opening usually is. The ID checker told us to go ahead in there. The people in front of us ducked under it and I opened it for my wife & I. There were about 8 ppl behind us with bags, so I left it open. The guy yelled at me to "Put it back as I found it." Then gave me hell when I got there for not doing it immediately

Then we got to the PC and Tripp is here, so the night is all better :) Now if 311 would only get in before 1230, I'd be thrilled!

You are probably one of 5 who "got it" without an explanation. And that includes most jewish folks I have to explain it to, also.

I did too. Twice.

Went to dinner at the regular Italian place tonight. Bar was crowded so we opted for our favorite waiter in the main area. Just as we were finishing up and planning to head to the bar for dessert withou our friend the bartender the waiter comes over with a snifter of my favorite rum there. He's good. The part where it was gratis was even better. I did learn that the bartender has been running different rums past me trying to see if I'd notice. I haven't. But when the choices are Appleton's 21, Gosling's Old Rum, Zaya and a couple other ridiculously good ones they have it is hard to be too broken up at not getting the nuance of the delicious.

ALCO, I'm a bit disappointed you didn't hit 15K yet. Perhaps you'll bet there on Box 81K.

Good grief, someone seems to be channeling William S. Burroughs, Chuck Palahniuk, and Hunter S. Thompson.

Don't click if you get queasy around those authors. It's NSFA (A= Anything)
