Time to crack open a bottle of red to aid with teh stew. Is it sacrilegious to use a Châteauneuf-du-Pape in stew if you intend to drink a good bit of it?

Chateauneuf-du-Pape is for drinking, not for cooking. Just throw some red wine vinegar into the stew.

I opted for a 2007 Montes Cabernet Carmenere, as my cheap-o 2003 Perrin & Fils Chateauneuf-du-Pape wasn't at the right temperature, and apparently requires a lot of time to breathe before it is at its best... |
The time is 19:03. The temperature is 1:rolleyes:7°.

Note to self. Don't tell monitor I once used a nice Pomerol as an ingredient in an Italian Sausage & Peppers dish. :D
(I did drink most of it, I promise) |
Well, with no gig tonight it was going to be a quiet night at home and an early bedtime......until some friends told me there's a pitcher of Yuengling and some hot-wings waiting for me at the North Brunswick Pub (my central Jersey peeps know what I'm talkin' about).
G'night Box.....I'm off to go make some bad decisions. |
Excuss my short rant. ARGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH

I figured since I was bad and ate Doritos I might as well start drinking as I'm going to feel like crap tomorrow because of the Doritos. Let's see, way too much liqure in my house. Ah, still ice cold Texas vodka. (goes back to find bottle to see what proof this stuff is )
