not a correction or even anything of much substance, but I love the word wh:rolleyes:m, a rarely used word that is in many cases used incorrectly; when used.

If you go to dianahacker.com, the book series does live on. There's a team of three authors. I found a Google reference indicating that she died on 1/12/2004, but when I search her name and birth/death years, I get nothing of value.

FUBAR

After a series of attempts at things like jazz bars, western etc.. a little spot near my old place finally settled on a name and theme and seems to be doing well.. FUBAR.

I'm not sure what the theme or style is, but I get the impression from the signage that it might be a hookah bar.

They use it even when they aren't doing well... Between that and the "whoop"ing they continue to look and sound like a bunch of idiots. (no offense to the Aggies here, it's a good school, you just need to change it up a bit when it comes to school spirit)

Today's goal: Get phone service.

Today's reality: Sitting around waiting for phone guy.

Today's soup: Bean with bacon.

Buddy of mine that I deployed to Saudi with in 2002 was always exploiting the rules of life. He was that guy who would buy a big-screen TV for a Super Bowl party and return it on Tuesday morning. Nothing illegal, but always cloudy in his ethics and very creative. When were in Saudi, American servicemembers could not leave the base, so the bazaar came to us. Said guy buys three hookahs. At the time he was also attending Rutgers. He keeps one hookah for himself, and sold the other two to "the two biggest stoners I knew on campus". The hookahs were something like $20 each, and very nice...collapsible, several feet tall, I think six pipes on each one. Stoners paid $500 each.

Lake Travis is now closed to public access, water levels too low!

I haven't seen it nearly as much on the sports board I frequent. :)

Why would you bother getting a land line?

On TexAgs it's the reference du jour.

The fact that they use it in their song makes me

I come from the land of throwing tortillas though, I have no room to talk.

I've got good news and bad news..

Good news: My bag must physically exist at some point between TPA and SNA and CO is certain they'll find it.

Bad News: The earth is a sphere and that really means it could be anywhere, or the most likely scenario: nowhere.

I just joined a sports board, and I have not yet ventured outside the Devils forum.
