Just make sure you spell "chute" correctly in the public version of the thread.

@belynch, I'd break the reward and stop in IAH. It shouldn't be a problem to split the PNR for you and the Canuk and then just change your return city. You actually could probably make it an open jaw returning to ABQ if you want (and the inventory is there) and save your company some coin. Too many risks with the 2 hour turn in EWR and if you actually need to be there then it isn't worth the risks.

Breakdown of costs on a bachelor party???? How detailed were they?

Yeah, you'd be surprised how elaborate some guys wanted their groom's events to be, and the resulting complexity. More often than not, the best man or designated organizer would want to know what everything cost individually...why they didn't just ask me to do the math and figure out what to bill each guy is beyond me. I've had all-day events that only get debauched at night. The crew of guys would wake up responsibly early and want a group breakfast, then vans to take them and their clubs to the golf course, then a contracted private dinner, then boobies and such, along with transportation in case of extreme inebriation. When you're dealing with a large group and everyone thinks their opinion matters, it can get ugly real quick. When a best man called me, my ending line to him was always something to the effect of: "Don't worry. My job is to make you look like a rock star. All I ask in return for that is that you keep in mind that it is you and you alone that runs the show when it comes to planning the day/night. One guy doesn't like the restaurant? Deal with it. Eight of ten don't like your choice? Let me know and we'll find another option."

The women that I've planned bachelorettes for should all burn at the stake, by the way. Every maid of honor I've dealt with seems to think that everything is flexible and negotiable after the fact. Book a stretch limo and some girls flake out on you? Sorry, you're stuck with that bill. The limo company bills you based on the need for that size of vehicle, and if you have no-shows, it's your problem. The private dining contract says "minimum of ten" - no, they won't give you those prices for a party of six. I've had groups of girls walk away from an itinerary because one girl (not the bride) wasn't having fun. Ladies, pick your least flakiest friend to stand next to you. Please.

Sadly, the 737 CLE-PHL and vice-versa seems to be off the schedule. It used to fly in the late afternoon. US now has better planes on this route, provided you're on an E170/E175 and not a CRJ

I assume you're connecting somewhere, because it's usually cheaper to fly EWR-CLE than PHL-CLE.

Mother of God.

Band camp is going on next door to my wife's classroom. I believe this is the freshman class. It sounds not unlike a million wild banshees wailing and gnashing their teeth to the tune of an atonal sacrifice in anger as they spread their omen of death.

Last time I looked, there are two non-RJ CLE-PHL's, and they are afternoon/evening. I think given the arrival times into PHL that those are two of the 737's that park overnight to service the early morning IAH flights. The other morning PHL-IAH is the turnaround from CO1776, the bumpfest flight that I continue to lust for an opportunity to take.

Ugh. Sitting next to Senor Pompous. Fixin to be a long flight...

@sbm12. I'm going to call CO and explain "problem" and see what they recommend.

I thought having a loud secretary was bad.

Also think I did well on my interview.

My wife got 2 offers today and had another interview! Too bad the offers arnt anything to write home about. No benefits and a salary that is a fraction of my base salary  I guess something is better than nothing and she will have something to do during the day while getting some experience for when the public schools start hiring next year.

It could be worse, it could be Senor Senior, or even worse, Senor Senior Jr.

I've never worked a job less than 4 years, guess I just feel it is odd to pick up and move for a job, and still be interviewing for others.

So much for my outdated info. :o But now if I want to PHL-CLE-XXX and don't want an RJ, I'd have to switch terminals at CLE. The C <-> D dance is easy, but I've not done anything other than that there.

On the plus side, it's an easy way to snag a 170/175 assuming the timing works.
