You bet. I'm going to call them now and give them an earful. I've wasted an entire morning on this, and had things I needed to do today that I now have to put off until tomorrow. I wouldn't mind, but these people are really good friends of someone I know, and he recommended them. I shall have to call my friend and let him know that his so-called reliable friend, isn't quite so reliable.

Is there any type of repair person, cable company, heating and cooling, or other home service provide that actually does show up on time?

Have you done the mission with the Learjet where you attempt to trap on a carrier? The  factor is almost as high as the pucker factor on that one.

Well, I just called the Oil Tank People and gave them an earful. I was not happy.

they are supposedly "just leaving" Garwood to get here. Yeah, right! I guess the BBB phrase really did get them moving!

Now that's a million dollar question! I do have an appliance repair man who is an absolute darling and does turn up when he says he will. but, then again, he is about 100 years old and from the old school, I guess :D

I have not, but the  factor is never so prevalent for me as it is when the oft moronic ATC clears two airplanes for landing with less than two miles spacing causing a go around or when AI aircraft roll to a complete stop about a mile from the next taxiway and crawl along at 20kt causing a go around or when departing aircraft are cleared for takeoff when I'm on short final causing a go around.

I really, really hate go arounds.

The only instance I'm aware of is "icurhere2 does it on his own."

Oh - I just bought two more Christmas gifts (and they are both travel-related).

* Ford continued to manufacture the precise same Escort model for a few more years but solely for rental fleets.

I never knew Ford made the Escort in Kentucky. Learn something new every day - even if it is useless information that could only be useful in trivia(l) contests.

It was her grandmother's until 2000, so it has a bunch of dents, but still runs fantasticly! She only puts about 3-4k on it per year and swears she'll run it into the ground instead of selling/giving it away, so I'm sure she'll still be seen in that thing for a long time to come, unless someone rear-ends her again.

Camrys are damn reliable appliances. Not really fun to drive, but you can be sure of getting from point A to point B in comfort, roominess, frugalness, and most importantly, reliability. I had an '89 Camry that was a hand-me-down. I wouldn't have traded it in, had I not moved up north where I wanted AWD for snow driving, not ever having lived/driven where it snowed.

For GIG you'd need a Visa. Not sure about EZE.

No visa needed for EZE for Americanos or :rolleyes:vians

I have until Thursday night (well, Friday really) to get a weekend trip to Maine planned. Any suggestions? It's one of the few states I've never visited. We're flying into BOS late Friday night, spending the night there, and flying out of there around 7:30 PM Sunday night.

All times are GMT -6. The time now is 6:34 am.
