Is it a stupid idea to apply for a job that's just out of my experience level but my resume would likely trigger all the good flags by resume scanning programs? Job I want and it's long term which means as the more senior people leave I can move up too.

Wow. A really easy joke just sailed right over the head of the resident pilot in the UA Pilot Q&A thread.

No, as long as you think you can actually do the work.

No - especially if the company in question may look at you as a younger and cheaper alternative.

This week's dumbest criminal.

I've been trying to catch up with the Box for over a day now. Not so easy.
Mom leaves tomorrow, son is giving me h3ll over going to soccer practice instead of his girlfriend's house, it's hot outside and my mom is constantly closing the windows because she's cold. Have I mentioned lately that I hate working for an airline during the summer! Too much work, too many people in the gate area, dualing with AirTran (they use one of our gates) at boarding time, co-workers that drive you nuts and a serious lack of sleep. I surprised myself last night....I must have gotten a dozen compliments over my boarding of the EWR flight and my PA voice. I must be doing something right. |

She said no just a minute ago. She added that we could just buy regularly priced tickets when football season is over. :p
