Same thing happened to me yesterday in the PClub near Gate 75. I asked what the chances of a VDB were on 811 to IAH. She looked at me and said "a what?" and I said a "bump", and she said "do you mean an upgrade? You'll have to go to the gate for that." So, I said, "no, I mean is the flight oversold and is there a chance I could offer to be bumped?" She looked at the computer screen, looked at me with a blank look on her face and said "well, err, hmmm, err, you'll have to ask them at the gate":rolleyes: Flight eventually went out with no bumps |

The  on FT is getting worse and worse each day. If you see something you don't like, RBP and move on.
Oh - for my trip to AUA, I was looking at $511 to fly BNA-ATL-AUA-ATL-BNA. However, I've found BNA-CVG-BOS-ATL-AUA-ATL-MEM-CVG-BNA for $4 more. I think the latter has a lot more bump potential (and would earn me a ton more RDMs). |

You took a bump for nothing more than a meal voucher?
Though I didn't know it was $300. The agent said they may need volunteers and to come back at T-25. Came back and they had given up my seat. In hindsight, I should have negotiated, but i was still out of it from the lack of sleep for the last few days. |

You know, ConciergeMike proposed a notice to posters that mirrors the one in the (SkyTeam partner) area of FlyerTalk.

IF AF had reward seats on their code you should have gotten that as part of your ticket (assuming you went all reward, not paid + upgrade)
Of course, it was actually harder to find the seats PIT-EWR on the Q than EWR-CDG in the front. |

Well, I'm delayed because i traded in my EWR-SAN-SFO trip for EWR-SFO. But the only flight they could confirm me on was the 8:50pm. Of course, since then other flights have had seats open up and no one is willing to move me.:mad::mad:
I asked at the Pclub and the woman just looked at me, said she has no idea and i should go back out to the gate. The $8 wasn't worth the hassle, at least not yet. The simple entry to move someone from a later flight to an earlier flight is called a "To/From". 6:new flt number . current flight number - last name (enter) 6:123.321-Fozz This entry will put you on the revenue standby list and/or will give you a seat. |
