Morning, Box.

Threads like the military thread only serve to show some people's true colors...just like the "upgrade a servicemember" thread that almost every forum has. Threads like that, IMHO, are great if you are a fan of the ignore list function. Those threads gather all of the stupidity in one place, making it very easy to add bunches of names to said list.

One percent keep the other 99 percent safe and free.

There are two debates going on in that thread and it seems a small group of the posters over there haven't been reading properly to notice there are two seperate debates going on.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Mowing the grass
  • Watering the plants
  • Getting the mail
  • Retrieving the NY Times (Fri. Sat. Sun. only)
  • Sanding then repainting the deck
  • Wrestling with the groundhog that keeps burrowing under the retaining wall
  • Rotate the donut stock
  • Heckling my neighbor

I excel at much at that list - the watering of plants would be the only "iffy" responsibility.

In other news, just saw this in the local paper. What a great way to start my Monday. I'm friends with both the guys featured. Really a great story. :-:

Sounds good to me. I just need to move the crib and other assorted baby toys/items w/ me. How much does it pay? :cool:

Mother nature has been doing rather well at assuming those duties. :rolleyes:

Payment is in CAD and all you can drink Labatt.

If you manage to catch the groundhog, you can keep its pelt. :-:

What's the function?

Adding an HTML column to a gridview control that I am defining at runtime. I might just switch to defining it at design time since it won't actually change (it used to but I've changed the logic a bit).

I add the column to the data table:
dsResults.Columns.Add("Rules", GetType(HyperLink))
and then I add the appropriate bits to that column:
hlField.NavigateUrl = tmpTxt
hlField.Text = "Rules"
hlField.Target = "RulesPop"
hlField.Visible = True
dr(11) = hlField
But when I bind it to the grid that column just doesn't display.

If you do C# instead of VB I can probably port it over.

I heard they really hate garlic. Putting a clove in the hole and around areas they might tunnel is supposed to do the trick.

That looks fine, what command are you using to bind it to the grid view? Are you just using dsResults.Columns.Add()? (that's considered the "bind")

I thought you were talking about houseplants - they are a lot more finicky.

I can "catch" it - how far do you live from your neighbors' homes again?

The groundhog lives in a 20 acre field behind my house, which is private property. :rolleyes:

In other news -- ding dong the troll is dead? :D

OK, I won't be able to catch it with a firearm but will be able to catch it with other toxic ingestibles available at Lowe's.
