Is anyone redeeming their free Live Nation concert tickets from SPG? It looks like they will go to waste for me, but a friend of mine is seriously considering going to see Journey in the Buffalo area. Amtrak is $57 o/w and an 8 hour ride to Buffalo. DL is $72 o/w and is 1.75 hours, but from JFK. The concert is on my weekend to work, but I think I may try to go. |

Ugh, last weekend we noticed our AC was really struggling. Last night we discovered water on the floor of the AC closet, leaking into adjacent rooms. Classic sign of a clogged condensation drain pipe. We opened it up last night, and thought we had it cleared, and everything was looking fine today until an hour ago, and then I noticed the water again. Now I'm dealing with a big mess, after opening the case on the AC unit and discovering a nice pool of algae-infested water in the drain pan, as well as a pipe that seems clogged worse than we thought it was. I drove around the area of my new home and found the nearest Best Buy (which is admittedly the devil but there aren't many options since Circuit City closed) and a Pier 1 Imports too. Ok, so dumb question.. This is my first apartment, always lived in houses, where exactly it outbound mail supposed to go...? Do I need to drive around and find one of those blue boxes? It never occurred to me that inbound/outbound wouldn't be in the same location.

We made it back to NYC with the dog and avoided the absurd pet fees^ However, the FA was probably the rudest FA I have ever encountered. My wife had the dog carrier in her lap when we were in the air with the dogs head poking out and the FA scolded her and threatened to have authorities waiting to have her arrested if she didn't put the dog all the way in the carrier and below the seat. He was a complete a$$. I was just shocked at how the FA was talking to us and couldn't even think of anything to say back to him. He gave me his business card and said he would like to keep in touch in regards to CO's response.
I'm not sure if the FA was just having a bad day or what but I have never come across anyone who was such a dick to customers. We didn't do anything to draw attention to ourselves and the dog was surprisingly well behaved during the flight.

Good evening Box.
I'm happy to report that tonight's excitement didn't involve servicemen, trolls (the work one and the Movieman one), or ripped pants. Our delayed EWR redeye (1829) departed at 1:23am. That's 10 minutes before the crew was going to walk due to duty time. We knew about this since early this evening and had Plan B ready, just in case. Tonight was good for 45 minutes of overtime. ^ Not getting to bed before 4am....not so good. |
