Hi Box!

I'm sitting on Delta Flt 1809 right now somewhere over South Dakota, and the 2 year old in front of me thought it would be fun to turn around and throw peanuts at me. All while his mother just watches him do it and smile.

Looks just like my Bold. And if that's the case, it's a wise investment.

I wish!

I've been raised by do-it-yourself people - that's why my family is driving my car and possessions across the country. Not because I asked them to, but because they think it's a good/fun idea (and i think they're going to stop at the World's Largest Ball of Twine).

That car is packed full of crap, it does not look at all like fun to drive it through Texas. But they are all excited and printing maps and getting tips on places to stop from the gals at the office. I think my trip to rendez-vous sitting in Y will be more pleasant if I don't get EAU'ed.

If anything they're probably saving me a month or more of rent in total cost by doing this - so I'm not looking that gift horse in the mouth.

The first sign of reality setting in for them came just the other day when it was reported to me that "the girls say there's nothing in Texas and it's boring" to which I replied "I hear there's a lovely festering pit somewhere in the middle.." and to which she replied "You mean like tar pits or or hot springs or something? That could be fun.."

I think i'm content to merely connect-through.. tar pits, hot springs, or not.

Tell the FA that you are allergic and watch the fireworks when the nuts are confiscated.*

* If you have already eaten some nuts, this idea won't work.

Alas, my snack on board was a chocolate chip cookie smuggled out of the WorldClub.

Always a wise idea to smuggle those things out of the WC. You just can't go wrong.

People up here say 'crick' instead of 'creek.'

I tend to smuggle the little cheese packets and crackers out of the WorldClubs.

That's like nails on a chalkboard to me. Gives me chills.

"Ma'am - you can stop him or I will. And I assure you my version won't be much fun for anyone other than me."

Seriously, hire an unloading service. I rented the truck and drove it from SAN to AUS (which was about as fun as outpatient surgery, by the way), but I had a loading service in SAN load the truck and an unloading service here in AUS unload it. It was worth every penny to not have to lug all that stuff around.

The mother is an idiot. Tell her you would appreciate it if she prevented her obnoxious child from throwing peanuts at you.

From experience, I know you can make cash payments.
