Emergency stop.

You can't get FiOS in most of Orange County, CA.

That's it, i'm not going.

It's going to be time to go to the bar next door and order a Singapore Sling pretty soon.

With apartments, I usually had to go with "can I afford this" as the first criteria. Only during the dotcom era, when I lived in an executive apartment with all utilities included did I think about the components I couldn't change.

In my home (where I can change anything inside), I know that there are two Lowes within 4 miles. I visit one, the other, or both about once a week.

FiOS sucks anyway. Cable services in SoCal are awesome, with Cox being better than Time Warner, followed by Comcast and then Charter.

It was down most of the last two days and lately it's been really buggy with pricing.

I have used Cox here in CLE for many years and have yet to have a complaint beyond some equipment failures beyond their control (and they had issues resolved within a day).

Really? My FiOS internet is amazingly fast and I get all kinds of TV channels I'll never watch but it's nice to have.

I just got FIOS for the first time when I moved here and I like it just fine.

SoCal seems to be having some serious overall financial issues so while a few months back I was going to have a panic attack over the housing prices, they have come down into a reasonable realm.

With the market how it is, I get to be a little picky.

Quandary..

I found a lovely little apartment in the OC (pending on site investigation) but it presents this little doozie of an issue: How do you get a queen size bed up to the 2nd floor loft bedroom with a spiral staircase?

I had no issue, I used long rope, tied it equally on both side, took both extra long ends up to top and pulled it over the railing, for both the box spring and the mattress.

Since then, I have just gotten an all foam mattress, and it is easy to move as it WILL compress way down in a heavy weight bag that it shipped in, compress it all you can and start zipping, then you can vacuum it down more :D
it turns into one stinkin heavy LONG brick like thing, it takes about 8 hours to re inflate once it reaches air.

Moving. That's a big step in a relationship. The biggest. That's like going all the way.
