NYC Box Happy Hour

It has been too long since beer was consumed by the Box in NYC. Happy hour should be had. I'm taking nominations for dates in early August where much alcohol will be consumed and much  :-:'d. Or something like that.

Early votes include August 6, 7 and 14. Any takers? Or other dates that might work better for folks?

6th is no good for me; I'm in a substituting workshop all day and wouldn't make it up there in any reasonable amount of time. 7th/14th are .

I'd like to call for a moment of silence..

I'm about to shut down, unplug, and pack my desktop PC. It's been running nearly nonstop for 2 years with minimal shuts downs and reboots. The car ride to Cali is going to be the longest vacation it has ever had.

KNRG - signing off.

By KNRG, and by desktop, I doubt you will survive parents driving :D

Oh, oh, correction - I meant to say, please NOT those three dates. :) Sorry! Anything else should be ok though!

You want to be as far away from her as possible on that night.

I thought drinking heavily the night before one gets married wasn't as much of a permission item as it is a complete given that it will be happening. @:-)

If you can't go drinking with the Box... Who CAN you go with? They wouldn't get you into ANY trouble. ;)

You did. My reading comprehension is apparently craptacular this evening. Should make for an interesting post that I'm writing now about kayaking.

New plans...Any suggestions for dates that are NOT August 6, 7, or 14? :D

When I moved to Baton Rouge, I (at my mother's insistence, and she was so right) hired movers to drive my stuff down...but not to bring it into the (2nd floor) apartment. The guy helped me with my desk tabletop and bookshelf out of the sheer goodness of his heart, but I had to carry the rest of the 1700 lbs of boxes and furniture up the stairs one at a time.

In Louisiana.

In AUGUST.

Around 3/4 of the way through it I very suddenly had to sit down and drink water...

If I went out with The Box the night before, I'd never make it to the (afternoon) wedding. :D

Things will actually be pretty low key after the rehearsal dinner.

Enjoy your anniversary weekend!

I love marmite, it's delicious.

Bought marmite for my aussie cousin since we couldn't find vegemite. She likes marmite fine and our nanny has been having it every morning as well :)
