I can't remember a summer this bad since '98. It has been at or near 100 virtually every day since early June.

That must be why my IAH family contingent just told me they'll be coming up here for 1:eek: days. Anyone have a spare room? I'm quiet, clean up after myself, and like to vacuum.

I am requesting that CRP DO participants make funeral arrangements in advance.

Okay, I haven't been to SFO in a couple of years. I am on the 7:40AM flight to IAH next week on a Sunday. When should I leave the hotel (Fisherman's Wharf)?

Speaking of DO's, today is quickly coming to an end and another day of expected news is slipping away though I don't think he said which Tuesday.

What. a. day. :-:

Agreed. The guy that the client was supposedly firing now hasn't been fired but I still had to take him out of all the systems and then start a forensic search to see what I could find about all the IT staff from this past weekend.

On the plus side, I've got a ton of billable hours lined up because of this fiasco so at least I get paid for their idiocy.

It could be any tuesday.
Today is ALL-Star Tues - Obama is warming up in the bullpen ready to throw out the first pitch.

I'm tired too

I don't have to cook dinner - just order room service

I have at least 6 more hours of work ahead of me, and I started at 7am this morning!!!

Tag - you're it!

My house has no A/C. It's 84 in the hallway.
Went to bed at 3am and was up at 8am.
I haven't even started work yet.....9pm-1am or when the last flight leaves.
But dinner is almost ready.

Do you have ceiling fans? At least fans could create a bit of a breeze. Poor you! Hope work is uneventful, but comfortable!;)

Fans do wonders - how I survived Paris in the summer.

Something like a Vornado designed to move room air would help a lot.

I haven't even started work yet.....9pm-1am or when the last flight leaves. Bugger. That's late.
But dinner is almost ready. What time shall I be there, and what's for dinner? I don't eat calamari or lamb.

I am pretty sure John Denver was also my first concert - at the Red Rocks in CO. I also saw Burt Bacharach there so not sure which was first. I also recall seeing the Carpenters and (Plus1 is jealous of this one) Johnny Cash all while I was young. My first concert on my own was The Thompson Twins. I saw REM in 85 while they were still pretty much not much (I beleive at UGA) and a host of great bands at the 688 Club in Atlanta.

Carpenters <> Jealousy

Cash = Jealousy

My first concert was Cool & the Gang at Grad Night at Disney. How sad.

My first at a real venue was ELO just after Lennon was killed. They played a mess of Beatles tunes.

The most amazing show I ever saw was U2 in 1981 at the Hollywood Palladium. ^
