Our new ESX servers are such power hogs that we can only run two on a single power strip. I guess that's what 128GB of RAM will do.
How many Watts are you pulling per server? |

I didn't think that the RAM was nearly as much of a power draw as a processor or HDD.
How many Watts are you pulling per server? I think it's actually the processors and not the RAM that require so much power. That, plus the need for the four 5" fans. |

Doh, should refresh page more, you need larger circuits and power. Are you running 120V or 208/240V? Amps? :D |
I'm not looking forward to this week's trip. 3 hrs. on an RJ not in row 12 as someone who is over 6' tall.
:mad::mad::mad::mad::rolleyes::mad: |

What type of power strip is this? The minimum server grade that we use is 5400W or so....that is a lot of power!

I am appealing to the collective wisdom of the Box.
Mrs. Phudnik and I are spending two nights in Chicago in August. I have enough points from Starwood, Marriott, and Hyatt to cover the stays. We will probably stay on or near the Magnificient Mile. What would you recommend? Right now am considering the W Lakeshore or splurging on the Park Hyatt. When I am in Chicago on business, I usually stay at the Marriott or the Michigan Ave. Westin. I wouldn't really want to take Mrs. P to the Marriott; the Westin is OK enough. |
My KE 773 has been swapped for a 772, still with the old seats, though. After having been on the KE intra-Asia 332's, 333's, and 777's, I think that the 777's are more comfortable in C even though the seats are the same. I have all of Row 7 to myself, by the way - not just the center section, the entire row. It looks like there are nine people in C and two in F.

There is also the Blackstone (by Marriott) which is not on the Magnificent Mile but is right by the lake and across the street from Grant Park. |

I'd go with the W Lakeshore. I haven't stayed there but I walked inside when we were there and it was really nice.

I didn't lift a finger. When I checked in at the airport, the agent asked what type of seats I would like on SIN-ICN-ORD. I told her that I had 7F and 16B, and she said that I had 7 F for the first segment but that I had been 'changed' on ICN-ORD because the upper deck was not possible. I asked where my new seat. And was told that it was 1H. I confirmed that it was still a 744, and. Thanked them for the new seat assignment. I suspect that there were so few people in J that they closed the UD and op-upped the paid D/Elite + paxx. There probably weren't any F pay either, so we will probably have the norm C service.

I am fairly sure it's 208/240, but I'll have to check the Amps. I am not the server admin here, I just know that when they put the boxes online it sounded like a jet engine being started in the server room.
