Tickets to Yankees vs. Braves spring training in Orlando are . Right now, tickets are almost double what I paid for seats to a game in Tampa the next day.

As for the priceline, I will still be under 25 so Ill get killed with the fees (unless someone knows a trick). I usually just use a National code to avoid the underage fee but will only have to do that for another few months.

I've also seen ads where Hertz was waiving that fee a few months ago after logging into my #1 Club Gold account. If that's still being offered, perhaps that can be combined with the free weekend day code?

I can buy 480 tea bags of decent english breakfast tea from a supermarket in the UK for less than $10. I've lived in the States for almost 15 years and have never run out of my english tea bags!! Once I get below 2000 in my pantry, I start to hyperventilate and need urgent medical (!) attention - i.e. get on a plane and head to the nearest Sainsbury's! supermarket!! Then, of course, once I'm there, I can't avoid the chocolate aisle ..... and well, then I'm a very sorry person as I load up 20lbs of assorted chocoalte into my cart at the checkout amid looks of horror from the checkout person!!!

Have you checked to see if the English grocgery stores in California and Nevada have the items you seek. They opened within the last year but I forget the name but it is one of the ones I recall from London trip a few years back.

Tix were insanely expensive in advance for the two games we did last weekend but they dropped at the end of the week when it was obvious that they weren't selling. That was in TPA, but you might get lucky.

I'm hoping they drop quite a bit this week as there are still close to 200 tickets available on StubHub. Where did you end up getting your tickets?

Wish I could help, but I just checked my ticket guy's site that I used to use and his prices are insane too. The seats that are reasonable are the right field foul pole seats...they're going to go down right before the game like always, but now it's just nuts. 10th row behind the Yanks dugout was north of $200.

Thanks for checking, CM! ^ As a Yankee fan, this season is just going to hurt my wallet between spring training games and high ticket prices at the new stadium.

My one ticket that I'm extremely concerned with this summer is Rascal Flatts. I really want to see them again - and it would be extra-cool if I could get a job and justify a way to fly to a show that isn't local. Might make a nice anniversary gift.

icurhere2 Mar 17, 2009 9:58 pm

I haven't seen them yet - my last few concerts were Lonestar (2008), Lee Greenwood (2007), Tom Petty (2006) ...

Rascal Flatts puts on one hell of a live show. Select dates on this tour have Jessica Simpson opening for them...in a related item, the Jessica Simpson dates are being sponsored by .

It is enough to insure I'd not buy any ticket on such tour.

Mr. Steinbrenner's wallet, regrettably, can probably sustain a hit from a anti-tank shell. The Yankee fan base unfortunately takes ridiculous joy in buying licensed crap.

Nope. ESPN makes it interesting and changes the topic every few minutes. :p
