Will you be putting it into the overhead length wise or width wise, while uttering "it fit on the way here". :D

one thing about that, you know if someone started their trip on a SAAB that almost nothing but a laptop bag fit in the overhead :D if I knew they started on a sab while muttering this I'd call them to the carpet on that lie.

That makes sense. The Palace was $104a/i on a Starpicks Rate for my stay, which was a pretty good deal, IMO. Their service and lack of upgrades were deserving of a , though.

Any Starwood recommendations for a weekend in LA? I need to get this stay booked soon, as it's for the weekend after next. Looking for good hotel, parking that's not outrageous, and a decent rate. Any recommendations?

Do you want to be in L.A. proper? I stayed at the Westin Long Beach and wasn't disappointed.

I love listening to the lines people come up with when I have to check their bags in, at the boarding door.

"But, it fit on the way here."

"It's not fair, you let all those other people take their bags on, why me?"

"I have $10,000 worth of jewelry in my bag, I CAN'T check it," said the lady that dressed in her Goodwill clothes.

"You let my co-worker take his bag on and you are requiring me to check mine because I'm not white," said the last person to board the flight sitting in the bulkhead seat.

LA area, in general. I asked my partner over the weekend "Where in LA do we want to stay?" and he didn't have much preference.

Not sure… just about anywhere will do, as long as it's not too far out (we probably don't want to be in Ontario or anything like that).

The Hilton Park Lane? I don't recall the exact amount but I do recall that it was absurd and over 20GBP/day.

The Westin Pasadena usually has some good rates , as does the Westin Bonaventure (downtown)

The W is the best location IMO , but the price is high and parking is high.

It is some ridiculous charge that you can't even charge to your room , you have to use a credit card when signing up .
