VS is operating a 747 on March 9 from LHR-JFK now :D

Now I have to decide if I want to pay yet another change fee ($35) and fly into JFK instead of EWR. I am not sure if it is worth it for me at this point (hassle of arriving into NYC versus EWR)

I got rear-ended by a Uhaul truck a few years ago... It was a usual end-of-April CLE lake effect snow and I was waiting to turn onto I480 (from W. 130th). There's a slight downhill heading to the traffic light, and while waiting to turn, I looked in the rearview mirror and saw this looming orange and white truck sliding towards me, then shorten the trunk by several inches. Needless to say neither me nor my 1 month old Mustang ragtop were very happy :mad:. With all the snow around we had to drive to the police station to make a report. :rolleyes: And this was the same truck I saw pull awkwardly out of the Uhaul lot as I passed by about 5 minutes before and thought "he has no clue how to drive..."

The driver was moving and towing his car to San Francisco. It took a few months for Uhaul and my insurance company to come to terms, mostly because they kept saying they couldn't contact the driver. :rolleyes: I hope your situation goes much, much smoother and quicker.

ATL is currently showing up to 5 hour delays. :eek:

Is this for today? If so, earlier is better. Weather in ATL is radpily deteriorating today. In the last two hours we've gone from hard rain with a little sleet, to rain mixed with snow, to just plain moderately heavy snow. It took less than 30 minutes for the ground outside our front door to be completely covered in white.

One of our cats is fascinated with it. He's at the window going crazy with the changes he sees happening outside. This is his first winter, and first time seeing snow outside.

So glad I'm not flying today.

We're now getting thunder and lightning with the snow. :rolleyes:

I would only do it if you are getting Upper Deck or Row 1, otherwise I don't think it is worth the hassle.

Do you think VS will allow me to change to that flight on the day of travel if there are seats available or are the :rolleyes:?

Great. The driver of the Ryder Truck that hit me works for a company called StarPower so I'm hoping that this makes it much easier and faster to get this claim over with. Considering I never thought that anyone would admit to hitting my car, I atleast have some hope is getting this dent fixed.

Hotalanta is certainly not equipped for anything close to that weather. Great day just to stay indoors and giggle at the cat while sipping some coffee and reading the NYT.

It took me until last year to finally get the Upper Deck. It was awesome. Was supposed to have 1B on the return, but MX issues pushed me over to a 330.

I hate going to JFK - getting there form central NJ is :mad:. EWR is soooo much more convenient! Love VS UC though! Flew to Jo'burg via LHR last June in VS UC all the way. Excellent.

ATL is a mess today. DL canceled something like 14/17 ATL-LGA flights today. That's just not good. I was talking to a guy in the SEA PC last night as he was waiting for his SEA-ATL flight; apparently the ATL-PBI was already axed, too.

The inbound from IAH that makes up my outbound back to IAH to start round two of the run is ~ 30 minutes late, but still not enough to ruin my connection in IAH. Probably no PC time but otherwise OK. It seems that BWI is between the bands of the chaos and surviving pretty well.

As I walked in to the IAH PC E this morning for a shower the guy behind the desk exclaimed, "Hey, I know you!" He was the same agent who checked me in yesterday morning a C North. Good times. And I expect to run in to the same agent at SEA, too, as she said she'd be working tonight.
