Welcome to CDMA. Do you think VZW should have a large disclaimer somewhere explaining all the underlying technical spec's of the underlying communications network?

Just do what you normally do. Quote the post, say "Yes" in a faux definitive manner, and go on about your day. That is hilarious right along with Phudnik accusing them of speaking Kyrgyz. :D

With Android phones outselling iPhones, I'd say AT&T has a lot to lose.
I also think the new data rates signal the beginning of the end for AT&T being the exclusive carrier for the iPhone. It's only a matter of time before AT&T gets hit with a series of pity suits from people who didn't realize that they didn't have unlimited data or that they didn't know what their usage was. (Think back to the idiot family who ran up an insane roaming bill a few months ago). AT&T is attempting to rake people over the coals as they know data is becoming more critical than voice. Combine this with them allowing tethering and VOIP apps and you suddenly see why they are ok with enabling those apps. But they haven't been able to sustain their network for the demands in major metro areas. Even with all the upgrades they've been doing they are behind and likely will be for a while. They over subscribed the network and now they are in a constant catch-up mode. |
