WWTBD?
We have 3 nights in Vienna. There are 3 different SPG properties (2 Luxury Collection and 1 LM), all on the same street and within a few blocks of each other. I am planning on burning 2 FWNs (already used one at the Hotel Imperial for the 2nd night) and paying for the 3rd night. Should we hotel hop and check out all 3 properties or should I use both FWN's at the Hotel Imperial and just move to the LM for the last night (paid)? |

I revised my post - you need to edit or filter faster (e.g. "stop trolling over in UA land ;)").

I would say it depends on how keen the wife is on hotel hopping during a vacation.
I'd really like to see all 3 properties, but I also think we would enjoy back to back nights at Hotel Imperial to take advantage of what they have to offer. |

Have to go for a little walk now to see if I broke my foot or not. I dropped a giant garbage bin on it - it got away from me on an incline. With any luck, it's just a tad bruised. |
So I set out searching for a study, any study, that put UA over CO, with the thought of going up against colpuck on the Livery thread. I couldn't find one. And the graphic design community is almost unanimous in their distaste of the new logo, for geeky, too-much-information reasons like the superiority of sans serif fonts, or just because they like United.
Did, however, find this bit of satire. I wouldn't dare post it on the UA forum, because they might think it real, regardless of disclaimers. "...[T]he combined company will keep the Nike name and be based in Portland, Oregon. It will, however, keep the iconic Adidas logo, and three-stripe design recognized the world over. When asked why the Nike logo was dropped, Nike CEO and founder Phil Knight replied: "Honestly there wasn't much debate. When you're trying to get a merger done in a week, you have to make some concessions. It was either keep the Nike swoosh, or my corporate jet perks. Besides, the company will still be called Nike; it will just look, act and feel like Adidas. Marketing industry professionals wholeheartedly agreed with the decision. "When you have a brand as strong as Adidas, it's really a no brainer to keep their logo," said Dan Wieden, the president of Nike's long time ad agency, Wieden & Kennedy. Adidas marketing chief Gunter Strauss added: "When you see the Nike swoosh logo, the word 'hack' comes to mind. We want people to respect the new Nike, and the best way to accomplish that is to forget about Nike's numerous marketing blunders over the past four decades. Frankly, it's a wonder the Nike brand survived this long with strange obtuse marketing messages like 'Just do it.' What does that even mean? Consumers respond to concrete taglines, like: 'Run hard. Buy right'". Herbert Hainer, 57 years old, and Mr. Knight, 72, who would become the non-executive chairman of the combined company, touted the deal Monday as competitive because the apparel makers' shoe lines are complementary, with no international overlaps and only a few domestic overlaps. "Nike makes shoes for urban American basketball thugs, Adidas makes shoes for Euro soccer freaks. It's a perfect fit," said Hainer." |

Take your two nights at the Imperial, sample one of the others for the third night, and save the last hotel for an overnight stay during SZG Beer DO?
