No. That is for my trip a month from now, where I will be sleeping on teh floor at ANC airport on Friday night, and sleeping on ANC-PDX for Saturday night. I expect to be a train-wreck by Sunday when I arrive in IAH.

I work at the airport Friday nights (except June 11--I'll be in NY). Talk to me when you get in. I might be able to arrange a couch in a back office. ;)

The offer is much appreciated. ^

Unfortunately, I'll be arriving the night you are in NY.

Did they fix the extremely noisy a/c units and terrible, constant noise from I-10?

I was towards the front so didn't hear Highway noise and don't really the AC being particularly

TX Tubing/Drinking DO, I'm in. Assuming I'm in state, of course. :D

I was dragged here kicking and screaming. Unfortunately, we pulled our all-nighter a day too early: the new automatic pancake machine doesn't get in until tomorrow...

Two other passengers decided to join us in LH F from IAH-FRA. How dare they! :p

We're still the only two upstairs on FRA-JNB and JNB-FRA. ^

Expect at least a few of those seats to be filled. My recent LH F flights all looked empty, but all but one ended up at least half full by actual flight time. On FRA-IAD, though, there were only three of us in F (out of eight seats); had excellent service as a result.

I'm guessing no DTV and no U-Verse where you will be living.

I think I found a use for my SPG Free Night... St. Regis D.C. looks

I can subscribe to the Yankees online crap that they seem to advertise incessantly every game and give you the account.

WWTBD re London?

Wife and I are scheduled to arrive at 9pm at LHR on a Wednesday on the daytime flight from EWR. We're scheduled to tour about a bit the following day in London and then have a 9am departure again from LHR on Friday morning. Should we stay out by the airport both nights? In town both nights? Split?

I realize that we'll be paying the r/t transfers once and probably not more than that. I'm just not sure the value of being in town on Thursday morning when we wake up versus schelpping luggage versus dining options versus who knows what else.

Opinions are much appreciated.

Attention Texas Boxers and Pitizens... there is talk of tubing the weekend of July 17. :-:

I've never been tubing, but figure that drinking is the biggest skill needed.

Sounds like we'll have to plan a follow-up Tubing DO. One of the benefits of a summer that lasts through October. :D

That should be easy to arrange. The area around New Braunfels/San Marcos also has a number of German restaurants to choose from. The crispy Central Texas variety of chicken-fried steak is available in that region. ^

I have made a reservation at the New Braunfels Fairfield Inn for July 17. :-: ^ :D

sdm1130, we could make this a welcome to Tejas DO. Floating down the Guadalupe drunk as a skunk on top of a rubber donut when it's 110 degrees outside is the proper way to get acquainted with the state. :D

Do they make any non rubber tubes? Excellent welcome for sdm1130 ^
