Good morning Box and Happy Easter to those who celebrate.
It sounds like CO Mike is adding some 73Gs to their fleet. They're probably just coming from CO, but interesting nonetheless... |
, box.
It's Easter, waiting for the kid to get up. Somehow this has morphed into Christmas-lite in terms of presents, etc. Also, she has her first loose tooth (she's 5). I'm having this picture in my mind of the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy having a fight to the death. Off to Milwaukee (it's 70 miles away) today -- have a hotel in downtown, picking up a friend at MKE in the morning, taking a vacation day and going to opening day at the Brewers (I'm a Phillies fan, but have a 20-game plan with the Brewers). |

Morning Box
Quick question. My flight to PHL takes me through ORD and EWR (thank you corp. travel agent for following the rules of cheapest fare to the "T" by booking this ??? mile run to save $150). My flight to ORD is zeroed out on seat counter as is the connecting flight to EWR. IF I take a VDB and fly directly from CLE or ORD to PHL bypassing EWR, will I still be able to take the original segments and EQMs or will I be left with just the single (or double) flight miles and segments? BTW, why is CO still flying Kenjets on the CLE-ORD segment. In the past month, these have all been sold out for the full day, which means to me that they are leaving revenue on the ground or in some other airline pocket. |

When I was her age, I tried to catch them.

Good morning Box. Happy Easter to those who celebrate. Now does eating candy in the morning count as a balanced breakfast?
|
Good , box.

My guess is that CO would be flying 73x's CLE-ORD if it had them, although now that UA is a partner -- and IIRC UA flies mostly mainline CLE-ORD -- there may be less reason to do this. CLE-BOS and CLE-LGA, which were all mainline when I was flying those routes in the '80s and '90s, are pretty much all ERJs now, no? It would be nice if fares from CLE to PHL and vv were lower, but I suppose that would require WN to start flying the route and those chances are minimal. (A midweek roundtrip is about $900 to $1000, last time I checked.) |

I would assume you could just ask the OPSC for "original routing credit," which is how it works on UA..... It would be nice if fares from CLE to PHL and vv were lower, but I suppose that would require WN to start flying the route and those chances are minimal. (A midweek roundtrip is about $900 to $1000, last time I checked.) The n/s fare for this flight was over $600, and the mini MR fare was about $450. Both of these were better than EWR which was $1000 (I am going to Trenton so either airport was an option.) However,it still makes for a wild and crazy day so if I can get money and a NS out of it, I am going for it. |

At EWR, but not getting on a flight. :o |
Happy Easter for those celebrating. Happy Passover if it is not over yet.
Had a great time in Houston last night and going to Bunnies on the Bayou! I heard late yesterday that in addition to signing the wavier for the party, they are going for a World Record as the largest outdoor cocktail party!! For 30 you get all you can drink from 1 to 5 in Downtown Houston!! |
