I did a quick search on Expedia, and from CLE it only gave me CLE-LAX on CO, LAX to PPT on AF, and then Air Tahiti. Have any of you done that kind of trip?

Ten year anniversary is coming up in July... that might be a nice surprise trip.

Getting to PPT on :-: is a bit tricky. NZ has LAX-APW/RAR flights on its 767-300s. I think you could probably snag a connecting flight from there. Alternatively, you could go all the way to AKL, build in a stopover, then tag PPT from AKL. Iīve never been, but seeing the South Pacific is high on my list. SPG has a knockout property in New Caledonia.

I made a mistake in going to Bolivia. Cuzco is incredible. I packed as much sightseeing as I could into 3 hours, and am definitely coming back at some point. Got lucky with the weather... mostly sunny with patchy clouds made for good photo conditions (it was rainy and cloudy here when I had a shorter stopover on teh way to Bolivia, so I didnīt leave the airport).

Unfortunately, Aerosur has swapped a 732 onto the CUZ-LPB route, which meant no 727. I at least managed to snag a photo of their regional F product during boarding. Snagged a copy of the in-flight magazine with details on their new Super Torisimo product (a 744 between VVI-MAD). They must have gotten an ex-VS bird, because it has herringbone biz (with a bar), Y+, and whY. They also offer his and hers PJs (blue or pink) featuring a toro logo over the breast pocket with 747-400 inscribed below it. Looks like it would be a pretty cool way to add a new line to teh FM. I wonder what the going rate for Aerosur points is in CC? :D

sfogate, I saw your posty yesterday, and haz you an alpaca scarf... Navy Blue.

LIM, CUZ, AQP and JUL are all on my list.

Glad you've had a good trip! ^

Barring the emergence of more , this appears to be the property we're picking out of the four available.

From all the backpackers Iīve spoken with, you can skip JUL. The Peruvian side of Titicaca is supposed to be  compared to the Bolivian side (Copacabana). Donīt expect much in the way of modern transport or accomodations on either side of the lake. Copacabana was beautiful from a distance, but very dirty and poverty-stricken once you were actually in it. The locals apparently donīt take much pride in their town, as littering was rampant. The pathway up Calvary hill above the town (stunning views) was carpeted in discarded plastic bags and cardboard. The "beach" in front of the town was similarly filthy. The hotel I stayed at was very nice, though. Their huge suite with panoramic views of the lake goes for $120/night :D

Had a great Saturday yesterday! We went out to Texas hill country. Took some pics of toddler photog72 in the flowers. She didn't want to sit still for pics.
