Keep it in the back of your pocket, it may come in handy. Worse case, have him fly to JFK and take the train to Secaucus. ;)
SAN-EWR is a weird flight. In the summer, the morning flight would be one of the first to get delayed if they have flow-control into EWR bc SAN isn't very high on the priority list for inbounds. I spent many mornings sitting around because of that. The afternoon and red-eye flights are fine as they get in where there is no contention. EWR-SAN, the mid-day flight is the best as there isn't much in the way of delays or ground holds. |

Flight gets canceled either way. What difference does it make if you spend 2 hours on the tarmac or just never leave the gate?
The net result of the rule is still going to be more cancellations and more displaced customers who the airline owes basically nothing. |

In NY co-ops it is not infrequent for one of the residents who has some expertise to pitch in and volunteer to help the building.
When our company was managing properties in Manhattan, I rounded up our roofer and supervised a complete re-roofing of our relatively large building. He did it for the Landlord's price and fifteen years later, when I was not around very much, they did it again at 10 times the cost. The contractors in New York City will work cheaply for Landlords but will have no mercy on the co-ops which are for the large part operated by relatively unsophisticated directors. Any resident who can help with a problem as sbm12 did will save the corporation tons of money. |

Got a breathless cell phone call from my son. I figured he's out on the road and there is a problem. Turns out he was downstairs and scared (insert bad word) about a centipede so I had to go down and kill it. I can just pix him as a cop being held a bay by a criminal brandishing a centepede or spider

Anyone interested in going to BOG with me this weekend?
Factoid for the day: The Chinatown in Panama City is one of the oldest in the Americas. |
