One may not accrue AA miles for Marriott stays (in lieu of Marriott Reward points). I believe the end date is June 30.

I did this when I rarely stayed at Marriott. Once I started a regular rotation through a couple of their properties, I have been able to accrue enough MR points to make it worth it.
