A former friend of mine got married in Austin a few years ago at 11:30 AM on a Wednesday morning. Apparently the place was cheaper, the services of a caterer to do lunch after the ceremony for the few family and friends who made it was cheaper, the photographer was cheaper, and of course, not that many people attended. I still don't know why they scheduled it like they did, other than to probably cut costs, but then, this was a relationship that went from first date to cohabitation to marriage in about 4 months. Amazingly, last I heard, they're still together, so I guess it worked out for them in the end.

Ugh. I may not get upgraded for Monday's flight, and the good exit row seats are taken.

On the other hand, it doesn't look so bad for next Friday's IAH-DCA flight at this point.

I've been able to get into E+ on every UA flight so far simply by asking and showing my CO*G stuff.

Was surrounded by sirens and I think N. Main might have been the area they were headed. Will call mom with the police scanner (although she's a bit miffed I blew her off for dinner tonight).
