I am now unequivocally in favor of CO and UA merging and moving the HQ to CHI, simply because Rep. Jacks:rolleyes:n-Lee believes they shouldn't.

I did like this comment below the story, "First time i've agreed with this lady... Will check my temperature to make sure I am ok.... " I think I agree w/ her. Though, I'm sure IAH will still be a hub.

I hate dilemmas. Just as I’m about to go full time at the current place, I secure an interview next week for a position I applied for between Christmas and New Year’s in NYC. Similar pay and bennies I suspect but 1 hour longer commute each way and much more expensive commute too. (thank you gov. christie ) It’s more secure though. Current work has been meh since the talk of full time as I haven’t had a chance to do the work I’m supposed to do. I’m thinking of going through with the interview just to see if I can get it, you know, for ego purposes.

I do not have UA status but it does not matter what you pay for the ticket. The service almost always sucks and the aircraft usually are poorly maintained and ratty looking inside.
And to think that this time next year all of the tickets around here might be on UA stock and all of the flight numbers might be UA. I think that it is ok to give your opinion as long as we all know up front that it is an opinion and not a fact. I don't think that hyperbole helps in informing the general membership. This is my opinion :) |

I believe she is talking about state/local help. What can she do at the federal level to help CO? Nothing that I can think of.
Of course she'd be battling it out with Mr O if it was found out. |

I personally liked the fact that she held a press conference at CO HQ and CO had more involvement in it and nor did they care to.
