Nice to hear someone was actually able to use an SPG50. :) I have one that expires in June, but I haven't been able to find a single property/situation where using it makes sense.

Did I mention I'm looking forward to DCA and it's mainline only service to IAH becoming my primary airport in three weeks?
That beats the heck out of CLE, which is technically a hub... :(

Good Evening Box. I was torn tonight between going into Chicago for dinner or just going someplace close to where I am. I'm feeling kind of beat, so I opted for close and went to Maggiano's in the Oak Brook Center mall. Not bad for chain Italian.

They are gold. And if you're an Executive Elite and rent all the time like I do, you earn about 10-15 of them a year, in addition to the less flexible but still rather valuable promotional free days from the annual One-Two-Free promotion. Our one-way rental of a minivan for the move prices out to around $600 when using a corporate discount code that includes free miles on a one-way rental. We'll apply three free days to that, and I'll end up paying about $18 in taxes, plus the fuel.

I hate dilemmas. Just as I’m about to go full time at the current place, I secure an interview next week for a position I applied for between Christmas and New Year’s in NYC. Similar pay and bennies I suspect but 1 hour longer commute each way and much more expensive commute too. (thank you gov. christie ) It’s more secure though. Current work has been meh since the talk of full time as I haven’t had a chance to do the work I’m supposed to do. I’m thinking of going through with the interview just to see if I can get it, you know, for ego purposes.

Haven't nailed down schedules and all that yet, but there is the possibility of rather reasonable fares from BWI-EWN for a wedding* in Buxton, NC (Outer Banks) that I have to go to in July.
Yes, it would involve flying US, but that would indeed be a new airport (and two new lines), and a pretty interesting one at that. And there's a ferry out to the OBX so no need for that circuitous 4-hr drive. ^ I've actually never spent time in this part of the country (NC shore as opposed to SC) so it should be a nice little adventure. * = I have attended/am attending 5 weddings between 10/09-7/10. This pace far outstrips anything in my life to date. And I think more than half of the main parties in said weddings are younger than I am... |

I take it EWR was less expensive than PHL? Row 10 on the 734 has 29in pitch. |
Going to call it an early night.
Good night, Box. |
Today turned out good. Guy is out of the ER and slowly regaining energy and feeling normal again. We are all set for our flights in the morning and SFOGate has once again proven what a great asset she is to CO!! :)
