Sheraton Nassau had awful service when I was there. Bahamians know you are trapped on their island once you arrive, and charge and act accordingly. Worst. Islands. Ever.

Roxy thanks you for your thoughts.

When I dropped her off this morning, I asked for a muzzle to put on her. The vet tech came back with a Hannibal Lecter looking mask for my pup. I think Roxy was pissed to have to wear it :-:

I would say that it is a much better choice than the Sheraton. If I remember correctly, the Westin PVR reviews on FT are much better than the Sheraton. There are restaurants and shops within walking distance and the bus can take you downtown.

Well, I guess I can always split up my stay and try the Sheraton for one night and then off to the Westin for the remainder of my time. I mean, what kind of FT'er would I be if I did not hotel hop  :-:

Two Navy fighter pilots grounded for flying too low: http://www.dailypress.com/news/dp-je...,1115206.story

Wow, they were really low.

This was the time in my life where I became aware for the first time that "Republican" was a bad word - I'll never forget the aghast look on my suitemate's face when it came up for the first time [I hardly discussed politics at that time, and didn't come from a family that did], followed by the comment "but...but...you're so NICE!" :p

WOW. How have I been totally unaware of this. I have quite a bit of DC in my foreseeable future, but have never done the train thing because it's usually quite pricey... I can't afford to burn too many CO miles right now, but I definitely need to keep this in mind!

8,286 EQM at a shade over .05/mile for a day spent in F isn't too shabby. My concern is whether or not I can find a hotel and if I should book two of these on back-to-back days and then just ask for those days off. The first one would be another ~$170 out of pocket after voucher.

I have very, very limited flying opportunities between now and the end of June. :( If this is good on the one weekend that I am holding sacred for such purposes (whether it's a pure MR or a real trip) I might need to bite...

From what I can tell, basic information that the GA would see about the flight. I don't want to post anything here just thought it was cool!

G'morning, Box.

The geographic restrictions on mileage earning rules are very annoying. It is mucking up my trip calculator way too much. But I'm going to figure out how to make it work. I will not be defeated.

Is this for the 500 mile thing?

Hmmmm.....that B-up is out there, just begging for me to book it. I have no desire to compute what time I would have to get up to make an 0545 LGA departure.

You can do a same-day turn, so a hotel isn't even necessary.

Two things you do not do in Mexico. Get a priceline hotel and tattoos.

I can think of a couple other things that would make my top two.
taking a quick look at biddingfortravel, doesn't seem it'd be too hard to fiigure which PVR property you'd get. I've stayed at the Marriott-no input to which SPG place

I've seen the outer islands from cruise ships, and also visited Princess Cay (not quite the same, I know), but I just can't get past my general loathing of Teh Bahamas. If going to the Caribbean, I'd just rather do the D.R., St. Maarten, Virgin Islands, or Barbados. Plenty of stuff to do, great food, and more interesting terrain (flat coral atolls don't do much for me).

Hmmm. LAX-PTY is zeroed out. I wonder if there will be any sort of bumpage offers. :-:
