Point system required of them - they have to do that and "rental car or hotel". They don't have to ask me about the former.

Anyone know of a way to check JJ award availability, now that ExpertFlyer only allows you to check domestic whY awards with them?

WWTBD?

I have a 6 am departure from MSP on Saturday morning. None of the airport hotels offer shuttles prior to 5am so I'd be sucking up a $20ish cab according to one of the front desk folks I just spoke to. Or I can just stay downtown and grab the 4:15am light rail. The wake-up is only about 10 minutes worse downtown, it seems. And I'm likely going to be downtown for dinner/drinks anyways.

Any good reason to go back out the night before and deal with a cab in the morning?

Drink until you board the flight and forget how you got to the airport.

Later find a receipt for a "bush extraction service" in your wallet and then have the startling realization as to why you have that terrible burning sensation in the area around your groin.

:D

No. Stay downtown if you cannot find a hotel with a shuttle service that starts before 5:00. I stayed at a CY near MSP a couple of months ago, and the shuttle ride to MSP was close to 20 minutes IIRC. Might as well get up a few minutes earlier, take the light rail, and save the cash that otherwise would be spent on a cab.

Thanks for the advice. With the Westin at the same $89 as most the airport hotels that seems like a slam dunk option.

Is there any compelling reason to book at spg.com instead of at a site where I get cash back for the booking?
