Between the McCormick and Schmicks lounge coupons ($20 off dinner) and repeatedly getting surveys for $10 off any future meal (e.g. "lunch"), I ate at M&S 6 times in three days while in Chicago. Good thing I joined the frequent diner club on the first visit. And good thing I knew I could use OpenTable for those reservations :D

I had a goldfish that lived 25 years. I  you not. Methuselah the fish was a sixth birthday present that kept going and going and going, unlike my sister's kamikaze goldfish.
Had a small (1-2 gallon) aquarium on my dresser back in high school. One morning, I came out of the shower and into my room to find the aquarium on the floor, and a wet cat. One 25-cent fish lying on the ground. No idea how long the fish had been lying on the carpet. So, of course, I took the fish to the bathroom and dropped it in the toilet for disposal. After a couple seconds, the fish started swimming. Retrieved, brought back to the aquarium. That fish lived 3 years beyond that. |

We used one of those $20 coupons. Sadly, the bill was $160 after the $20 off... so we did not really do that very well. We need help with the coupon thing!

Anyone object to me blowing my last 55k Merrill Points on a r/t to Dublin on CO for a long weekend in May with the wife? Is Dublin worth it or should I consider Shannon or neither?

I have taken this to mean that should we feel the need to sue the venue, we cannot recover a judgment larger than the price paid for the event. Fiancee would like confirmation of this from someone other than me. Am I right?
(this is not legal advise) 1. It reads like if there is a breach of contract your damages are limited. 2. For tort actions, it doesn't sound like it limits their liability. Generally boilerplate liability waivers do more to scare off potential litigants then actually waive liability. Either way it sounds like if you are really concerned you should consult an attorney who in the state where the venue is located. |
