Nope. Going for Thanksgiving. It should be good and dark then - ideal for viewing the Aurora (you can take dogsled tours out to viewing sites).

Is the solar flare/sun spots calendar looking good for 2010? 2009 was terrible and part of the reason I avoided the trek up north.

OMG! Did I miss a thread?

We were in a particularly deep solar minimum through 2008-09. It looks like things are picking up somewhat. If it's still looking terrible as the date approaches, we can always cancel and redeposit the miles.

Actually, I was pleasantly surprised at how good the Big Texan steaks were. They have their shtick, and they certainly cater to the tourist trade, but the food was not bad at all.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry9630/4.7.1.40 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

Those SNA B fares are non-refundable according to the fare rules. Still a pretty good deal for a good run in F.

YouTube recognized the They Might Be Giants soundtrack that I embedded in my takeoff video and called copyright shenanigans on me. With ~2 minutes of audio I'm not sure I can claim fair use. So I'm reposting with no audio. The version with TMBG is way better.

That was quick. There are two kinds of shenanigans. First is they kill your audio and/or tell you to remove it. The second is a naughty gram that says you can still use as you are in a sense promoting it for them in a way they approve up it but they will put ads all over it. I have three videos with ads. I have a written agreement on two of them.

Post of today -

A. My dislike of US is well-known - remember the "lost e-ticket". Besides, what airline flies a regional jet from MEM-PHX, announces the flight will take even longer due to the plane being flown by hand at FL 29 to comply with federal law for an inoperable auto-pilot, and food offerings consisting of booze, water, and potato chips (only one variety) in the lounge at lunchtime? I would be so ticked if I had paid for a membership or entry to that

B. An elbow to a foot on an armrest is within icurhere2's framework. "Take it off or I'll break it off" is specifically in my vocabulary.
