'lo, Box. Took quite a while to catch up on yesterday's posts.
My, you were up late! My friend's son (14 at the time) was home alone one day. Someone knocked at the door. He didn't answer it. suddenly the door burst open (was kicked in) and a burglar entered teh house. Max ran upstairs to his parent's bedroom and locked himself in the bathroom with his cell phone and dialled 911. the burglar broke down the bathroom door and grabbed Max just as the police turned up. Max was really lucky. the burglar was high and completely out of his mind. If the police hadn't arrived when they did, goodness knows what would have happened to Max. Very, very scary. Wow, he was really lucky!^ what is NIA? |

Don't like this new thread view thingamabobber. For me, bold indicates new posts that need to be read. The new system is not conforming to that.

Im back, and now a homeowner and resident of NJ :p. Yesterday was pretty much hell at the closing as the unit is still not complete. Im only at work until 11:30 today then I have to go home and take deliveries of furniture. No internet at home for another 2 weeks  but at least we are out of that dump of a hotel "Quality Inn" in Long Island City.

It is, except that it basically assumes everything is unread. Go to the forum home page and towards the top right, just above all the thread names, there is a menu that says forum tools. Pick that and choose mark forum as read. That will reset the forum and going forward it should only show threads that have unread posts in bold.

A fancy name for the bride and victim sitting together, by themselves. That notion bothers me, and I recall posting my thoughts on it. But that option beats the hell out of live music.
A good band can cover a comparable range of music that a DJ can and they can play a CD just like a DJ for classical music or whatever if you need that for a particular dance. And I like the emotion and interactive nature of a live band much more than a DJ. And, to me, the sweetheart table is smug, standoffish and awkward.

Got a call tonight at 6:30 from a very excited HR manager at the Nashville branch of the Art Institute!! She was like, "I wanted to call you tonight to make sure that you haven't been scooped up by anyone yet!" I like the sound of that already and the "It's full-time" Sometimes that is not always the case with them. Hope to talk to them tomorrow or early next week. She needs to get in touch with the Chef to set a time.
