Thanks. It was not unexpected as she had been sick for at least a year and was deteriorating over the past month. However, it is always a shock to lose someone you knew for almost 40 years.

Bummer.

This is my last week in my current job and I start a new one on Monday. Needless to say my current employer hasn't been very happy and i'm swamped wrapping up loose ends.

Fun fun.

Congratulations?

No. Anything based out of GUM, including HNL-GUM is actually operated by CS.

The fleet is what was merged all under CO. All the planes belong to CO.

Nice. Will need to add them as well, then. Hopefully a GUM run could be combined with a ride on the Freedom Air Guam Shorts 330. ^

Indeed and thank you.

I've been staying mum about it.

In a scary twist, it's a desk job. :eek::eek:

Well, should be some, but not like it has been.

I may be pulling an ALCO and doing a lot of crazy weekend travel.

Ok, I was about to say. A world without a Fozz somewhere in the skies is no world for me. :-:

I work for one of those companies.

I caught grief for buying a B fare (which we're supposed to buy) and having it insta-upgrade into F. This was only because co.com shows the receipt as purchasing into the F cabin.

I am told my employer has gotten  from auditors who question why people are flying in F (which results in lengthy explanations about airline status and embarrassment for having to fly US).

It is easier to have a more flexible travel policy with a smaller organization, that's for sure. Fortunately, as we have grown, we have maintained ties with a small local agency rather than switching to one of the behemoths.

I just had to explain to the bean counters why a 3 day week-end car rental in the NYC market was less than a 1 day weekday rental. I was visiting my mother after working all day Friday and the car sat at her house until Sunday, but I thought I was doing them a favor by saving them $15. Next time, I'll drop the car back off, pay the higher rate and take the LIRR home.

Some of my former employer's clients would offer to fly a spouse out on a trip over the weekend if two weekend advanced-purchase fares were less than or equal to the mid-week fares. This was several years ago, and I think that policy is no longer in force.

Also, my condolences to you and Mrs. radonc1.
