You are right on the price. It's a great price, often about $120 a night, but for anything more than one night, I would look for another hotel in my price range.

You haven't had my pork tenderloin. :)
You would not believe how many times my food is delivered “not as ordered” when we go out to a restaurant. My steak is almost always undercooked and my burger will usually come out with bacon on it, when I ordered a swiss cheese burger. |

But it's still safe to say that overall interest exposure goes down by paying more frequently since I'm lowering the average, no?

When we get in late, we usually do a one-night stay there before moving across the street to the Hyatt. Next week's rate is $101.

Sounds like next Elite year is a CO Plat-only year for you, no?
But yeah, once full reciprocity is underway, I don't lose much on UA by switching entirely to CO. Plus I've been a OnePass member since '89 (my original card has the EA logo on it). |

So, any recommendations on where to burn points in Hawaii for hotel rooms? Looking at the Westin Moana Surfrider right now, but I've also got a TON of Marriott points, and a decent amount of Hilton points, as well as a stack of free night certificates from Hilton as well. I'm determined not to pay for a single hotel night on this trip. We need that cash for other things right now.
The Hilton Hawaiian Village is one of my favorites. It has it's own beach and large pool area. It's at the beginning of Waikiki near the military beach area. |

Make sure you go to Cheesecake Factory when you are there. It's right down the block :p

In Honolulu, be sure to eat lunch at Ono Hawaiian Foods. It's one of the bet local places in town and if you like pork, you'll be in for a treat.

Signing off so we can get on the road. See everyone later.

Later, Box. Tonight is forecasted to be heavy volume but no payoff thanks to an event that I've already been told is patronized by infamous non-tippers. Fun.

Precisely why I said it, William. Sorry I couldn't make Austin. Would have made a nice introduction to SPG from a Hilton guy contemplating a switch.
Seriously though...we begin planning in earnest for the next Austin Mega Do this weekend...Mackieman, Mrs. Mackieman, TexasYankee, and myself are making a fact-finding trip to Snow's BBQ in Lexington this weekend for that very purpose. It's a tough job, but someone has to do it. :D Best regards, William R. Sanders Online Guest Feedback Coordinator Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide [email protected] |
