Staying there next month; looking forward to it.

Though I almost pulled the trigger on an SPG status match again a few minutes ago. I think I'll stay with Marriott and make a decision in November. If I am not going to requal for Marriott Plat, I'll apply for Plat status match to SPG and move over. Hopefully SPG continues to add new properties and maintain ADRs that are below the stratosphere. :)

National is very proud of its one-way rates in the Northeast. It wants $170/day for a weekend one-way rental BOS-MHT.

Tonight's rental of a full-sized car (Metro Rail is out of service all weekend, starting at 8pm tonight)... $22a/i :-::-::-:

Also, sbm12 and I stayed there back in October and it was in the middle of renovations; hopefully they've got all that finished as the rooms were definitely in need. :-:

Yeah, but we were able to talk our way into a room where we weren't on the reservation and where the keys weren't working when we arrived. I'm willing to sacrifice quality for a total lack of security some nights. :p

Years ago National established itself as the best source of one-way rentals and I used them regularly. But something has changed in the last few years and now, for one-ways, Avis has become my go-to company. I had CVG-SDF last month and in May will have NYC-PHL, both with Avis.

The Downtown TreeTree location has great rates. It is only open Mon.-Sat. for vehicle pick-up (you can drop off at any time with the TreeTree Valets).

Must be something going on in BOS that weekend. Avis is sold out at all locations within 25mi. of BOS.

Note to ALCO:

I made an error on the blend that I brought over last weekend. The California was a standard Rhone Blend of Syrah with some Grenache and Mourvedre but the Saint Cosme was a Cote Rotie which are predominantly Syrah with a touch of Viognier.
