If the person knew Hartmann had a car (or motorcycle) then, yeah, sure, as long as he was happy with it, it's fine. But there's still an assumption there.

How would you feel if your employer gave you 10% of your pay in gas cards?

G'morning, Box.

I drove out by the course yesterday to take a look at it. Stunning. Very much looking forward to playing a round there today even if I do have calls that will likely interrupt the flow of play for me. Worth it on both the calls and the golf. Just have to make sure I have enough extra golf balls available to make it through the 14th hole. Hitting that island looks harder than I think I'm really up for.

Particularly strange, especially considering that employees at EWR have a dedicated lane most of the time, one that passengers occasionally overflow into, but not one that they normally share.

Forgive me Box, for I have sinned. I made my 8,000th post outside your hallowed walls. :(

In the "70's" check-in (facing air-side, all the way to the right) the EA license checker also checks airport employee credentials. This can seriously delay in the line. Once you get your ID checked, if the employee line isn't too long, they'll sometimes push people over there.

I'm guessing that's where the choke-point occurred. The guy was PO'ed that a gaggle of employees were given priority over him and then decided to make a stink when going through the metal detector.

Not sure if the other two checkpoints are set-up that way. I'm generally too busy 'ing to pay attention.

Wow. I just got a EUA notice prior to 24 hours before the flight.

I think that's the first time this has happened this year.:rolleyes:

Nope. I'm going to BOS...

...in a bus, or rather two buses, with 100 of my students for a music festival. It certainly won't be a vacation, but it should be fun in its own way (and we have some sightseeing/fun activity time built in).

In other news, why are fares to CLE for the weekend of May 15-16 $300+...

When you factor that you have to "tip out" bartenders, bus boys, food runners -- generally a percentage of your sales -- if someone tips less than 10% on their check, there's a good chance you've lost money by serving them.

If you can't afford at least a 15% tip (for acceptable) service then you can't afford to eat out.

G'day box.

I was going to say that your scenario sounds a lot more like F&B and not someone in Rooms or Front Office.

I suppose it would depend on whether (1) gas cards were taxable and (2) you spent 10% of your income on gas. There are, of course, tax free schemes for your employer to give you a percentage of your pay in transit vouchers and so forth.

It is still pretty  to tip an umbrella.

They almost always exceed $300 from PHL, which is why we usually end up having to drive to BWI to fly to CLE. (The alternative is seven hours in the car with the children; no, thank you.) If we needed a rental car in CLE, we'd probably fly to PIT and drive, but we never do.

Buona .

Depends where the pro set the island that day.

Yesterday I made a captioned version of the baby pic using your Global Services quote. I'm thinking I jumped the gun. Should've made an EliteAccess version.

No, people are believable. It's just very sad how people conduct themselves. If he kicks a dog, I would hate to have my child nearby. If he's violent towards animals, his violent act easily can erupt toward humans.

It is so heartbreaking. I cannot imagine the grief and anguish tht mother must be feeling.

As to (1), she has her good days too, where she sees patients off, and they don't return, except for checkups.^ As for the others, I don't know if I could stomach what they are going through. The girl is part of make-a-wish (a great organization to donate to), a her wish was to go to CDG. Unfortunately, she is too sick to go overseas. Her back up is Disney World.

¡Feliz cumpleaños a Plus1!
