I'm guessing here, but I bet your favorite 4 points, that Houston SW thing(though it has been remodeled)

Four Points on Southwest Freeway would be my guess. Straight down Kirby to the stadium. But it's not much closer than the Galleria area locations.

Starwood really needs some hotels in parts of Houston that aren't Uptown/Galleria. Like Downtown or the Medical Center.

Probably the 4P Southwest on 59 @ Kirby. You can take Kirby down to the stadium from there.

Edit: Beaten like a lame mule.

Thanks! Thinking about pulling the trigger on some UT vs Rice tickets this September and I can grab this 4 Points for $49/night.

Looks like we'll have a 4 Points in Galveston come June. ^

Do you know if the 4P Galveston is new construction or are they refurbing an old property? I ask only because hurricane notwithstanding, the island needs some newer properties.

This appears to be a new-build or a re-build. It's going to be at 2300 Seawall.

I sure hope they are not remodeling a Radama into a 4p, or it may be the worst 4p ever....(that is what 2300 Seawall was)

I am not a big 4P fan, but I am not sure I'd put them at Ramada level.

That Ramada was pretty much gutted by Ike, so I'm sure it'll be close a new build.

Teh Hilton on Galveston wasn't bad (stayed there shortly after it reopened). My favorite hotel on the island, though, is Tremont House (Wyndham Historic Hotel).

I register religiously for these things but somehow either I made a mistake or failed to register for the rollover promo. That really is not important to me since I qualify easily, usually by mid-year but is a symptom of come sort of carelessness or inattention.

But I did not remember registering for this one and since I had or will have at least a half-dozen stays in April, I ran over to my e-mail accounts to search for the registration confirmation. After a few anxious moments of looking all over and then trying to register and being informed that I already had done so, all was well. The confirm e-mail was in a place that I did not expect it to be. Teach me to have all those e-mail accounts and folders.

And how about out west near the Energy Center where Marriott has just built a nice new place?

Since I've been here, Ms. Gadfly and I went to Arizona for 10 days to visit my folks, I went to a trade show in Boston for a week, I went to Chevy Chase, MD for a couple days, and we're getting ready to leave for Seattle by train on Sunday. I'll try to poke my head in once in a while while we're en-route but it could be difficult.

I'm sure I've missed dozens of milestones, and hopefully some positive job announcements. Hope everyone's well.

1) You've been missed!
2) Why traveling by train to Seattle? Think how many miles you're missing out on!!!!
