I give her the benefit of the doubt and offer her a little compassion for her situation.

I don't think she was saying that she felt entitled, but I do think that is how she is coming across, hence why the posts are trending that way. Perception can be entirely different from reality, granted, but it looks to me like she expected to be waited on hand and foot because she had small kids with her. And the thing about the bassinet row and the seat selection just irks me. I get that not everyone out there is as travel-savvy as a community made up largely of road warriors, but it's not that hard to select a seat.

Nice. That's cooler than being a character in a Hardy Boys book.

Relevant link. It depends on how much you want to believe this bit:

So why did Google wait all this time to implement this obvious feature when its devices have been capable of it since the G1? Well, a report last year (written by me for another publication), cited a source within Google who noted that Apple and Google had a gentleman’s agreement that Android wouldn’t encroach on what Apple believed to be its property, certain multi-touch gestures, like pinch-to-zoom. With Apple and Google now fighting, all bets are apparently off.

Shoot, you discovered my sooper secrit SSID!

(actually, my home G-network is called cheezwhiz - the N router I'm going to put in so my MP can talk to the files on my server real fast will be called IsNotPossible, in honor of Teh Box.)

My home computers are named:
Jake
Elwood (both desktops)
Bluesmobile (laptop)

My SSIDs are silly, like address of a condo I lived in 5 years ago, eventhough router has not been used there at all, or even existed at the time. Another is a SMC router with a belkin model number SSID :D

all because I don't want to mess with reconfiguring all my clients. (phone, media center, ipod touch, laptops, netbooks, on and on)

Just as long as you're not a case study of an absymal failure. Then you go for credit as John Doe. Or tell them your name is Sarah Palin. @:-)

Looks like the Summer Olympics could offer a new spectator sport

from the NY Daily
"Pole dancing could be recognized as a sport and headed to the Olympics"

More

if curling had all that posting, I think FT may need a bigger server or two

Yeah, I've had cheezwhiz since I first went wireless, and jake/elwood predate that, even. I considered "mightymac" as a hostname for my new MBP, but I didn't like Blues Brothers 2000. Need something different.

Good question, perhaps some undercover work is needed-to weed out possible pole trouble

Political punditry will abound for many years as to how much of her fail was orchestrated by her personally and how much the McCain machine was responsible for. Her book makes a convincing case that at least a plurality of the  from that campaign was not her or McCain's fault.

Still pretty warm here if wunderground is to be believed, so I'm skeptical at the 13" of snow they're calling for Somerset/Middlesex counties. :-:
