A textbook author is offering to acknowledge me in the next version of the book for sharing some of the innovative activities I've developed ^

Droid does that! :-:

Droid apps (i.e. browser), however, do not. I got a flashlight app that does multi touch zoom well enough. It's going to be patched in soon enough I hear.

Useful newb link. Out of that list I'd say the Places Directory is is pretty great, as is the sky map if you like stars and stuff. :-:

I did not check out the link provided by cheepneezy, but you should be able to export from Outlook and import into gmail. Then synch your phone with gmail and it will have it all.

If there's one bit of advice I would give is to give yourself over to the google monster and all will be well. If that's not possible, there are work arounds, but it's not super easy.

No, that's a plain old google/android app. I think it's part of Android 2.1 and available on the Nexus One. Maybe ssullivan can share.

I'm going home, see if I can button up my income tax return before racquetball. Getting one thing off my plate would be ^

Google being afraid of the apple machine is getting

Palm has had multi touch pinch and zoom etc from day one, of course Palm has enough IP for their own innovation in it that if apple makes a stink, they know palm can come at them as well. And end reuslt is money to lawyers and a cross license agreement, or even apple having to pay more due to numbers sold to this point.
