I kinda feel sorry for the original poster. She's getting slammed. Too many solo traveling parents are clueless on just how difficult it is to travel with children, especially with a lap child. I see so many parents rolling their eyes when I can't give them a free/empty/extra seat next to them for their lap child. I see too many parents failing to prebook seat assignments and figure that I can wave my magic wand and fix the problem. Not an easy fix on totally full flights. I also know that the OP has no clue that you can not keep a child in the bassinet when the seat belt sign is on. And we all know that CO keeps the seat belt sign on all the time, for safety reasons. |

TIV usually only comes into play once travel has started. |

Unfortunately I don't. I almost posted my thoughts but thought better of it.

I just feel a bit sorry for the way the posters are slamming her though; it's obvious she was unprepared, but some of the comments are just plain nasty. I almost posted a comment, but just did a  instead. For one poster, I was just going to say "The last part of your handle describes you to a T" but decided against it! Sometimes, I think that new people coming to the boards, and seeing stuff like that, will be turned off by the nastiness of some posts. |

on more than one occasion I've had the FAs move around a bunch of seats so that families traveling can sit together. Really, is it gonna kill you to spend 2.5 hours apart? It's not like your kid is gonna got lost:rolleyes:

Oh, believe me, I know how difficult it can be to travel with babies and small children. My girls have been traveling with me since they were literally a few weeks old.
