The luge commentators are .

Mrs. bdj was doing a pretty good impression of the commentators, since they kept saying the same stuff over and over.

That was my impression too.

*shakes head* at the US Mogul team...

I wonder how CO feels about Bud Light using their font and logo in the plane crash ad.

Oh well, sleep is overrated anyway. Greetings Box.

Have a great trip. London is one of our very favorite destinations.

I'm in London at least once per quarter, as my manager is based here.

Muchas gracias! That is all VERY helpful information. With any luck (i.e. I'm not accused of being a drug mule and back-roomed at immigration) I should be at the hotel by 12:30am and actually get a decent night's sleep.

I'm only in MEX tonight; I'm in PTY for a couple hours tomorrow afternoon and then back in NYC very late tomorrow night.

For the very fast, on-the-way cultural experience, you can see a few things very close to your hotel.

Tonight, I'd ask the driver to drive by the Angel of Independence (don't know how good your Spanish is ... so pronounced "el Anhel") which is on Reforma Avenue - it's just a few blocks detour from your hotel so if you're charming and negotiate it you should succeed :) Reforma is also one of the major streets so important in and of itself. FYI - the US embassy is about a block away from the Angel. You'll see the Sheraton Maria Isabel and the Embassy is right behind it on Reforma.

If you want to be more adventurous tonight, and get a bite to eat on the way to the hotel, stop by El Moro and get a midnight snack (it may look sketchy on the outside but it's just that it's very old.) El Moro it's one of the best places to get just-made hot chocolate and churros. You'll have a choice of hot chocolates with varying strength and sweetness. They have take out and you'll be able to see them make the churros. They are open 24/7. El Moro is in the center of the city - the cab driver should know it (just in case, per Google: Eje Central Lázaro Cárdenas 42, Col. Centro, Centro, MX, Mexico‎ - 01 55 5512 0896‎). If you want to do this, ask the driver to do it before the Angel and then go up Reforma to the hotel. BTW, not only the churros would be typical if you do this ... the Mayans and Aztecs are credited with discovering cacao beans ;)

In the morning, if you wake up early, you could take a hotel cab (or ask the airport cabs if they could do a detour when you make the reservation) and go through Chapultepec Park and sightsee which is also very close to the hotel. I'd only do this if you leave early as traffic will start to build up at 8ish and make it a blah experience. In Chapultepec Park, you can weave through and see the Park itself and the Castle of Chapultepec (it will be closed as museums are closed Mondays or I'd also suggest the Anthropology Museum which is in Chapultepec Park) and perhaps one of the Lakes and then head from there to the airport.

Enjoy!

ETA: P.S. It may help if a boxer with sbm's e-mail send this to him so he gets it in the airport in time for the first set of suggestions esp. since he's been having FT issues - thanks! :)

I have this on the back of my mind as well, but I will be with friends and have receipts of the great fare as well. Let us know if any other tips we need to know :D

Tips depend on the day you'll be in MEX and how much time you'll have ;) Let me know when you'll be heading down...
