Tonight we had a repeat - Costco rotisserie chicken. Yum!

And, I haven't been paying attention to the Olympics.. the NBA All-Star game has been entertaining for me.

I am not at all adverse to doing that on the Thursday before AUS Do. We could make a trip to Specs for a couple bottles of something nice and then I'll fire up the grill. Saves everyone a bit of money (which is good since I'm renting an SUV for the weekend).

Your town, your call. I will just follow (and eat and drink). At any rate, a trip to Specs would be of interest to me. Sounds like a major league place.

With the pork, I think that we probably will stay with the Burgundies or the Oregon Pinot Noirs.

That reminds me, I just got home and there is a box downstairs with some high end Burgundies. I think that I better go down and open it.

No better time to show off the grill and the new house. We'll be around so can throw in a few bottles and maybe a nice piece of meat. And there is the question of a housewarming gift... :)

Alrighty, I think we have a plan. What hotel are you and Franny staying at on Thursday night? The closest Spec's is actually fairly close to my office so we could potentially meet there after I get out of the office and go from there.

Sure, the more the merrier. ^

I'm thinking we'll do pork loin, and I'll make some of Corey's occasionally-famous loaded smashed taters™, perhaps some asparagus and/or green beans, and maybe a nice salad.

If anyone else is going to be in the AUS area on the Thursday before AUS Do, the invitation is open. I'll send a PM next week with details to those interested.

No, not by a long shot. Crazy night. Ended up having to drive a hotel guest home in the hotel's Lincoln MKS after someone bent the key to their car by slamming it between the door and body of a safe that we keep keys in. We as a group get a bonus for going 30 days claim-free. We were at 25 until tonight.

Then, about 45 minutes later I got tapped to take the hotel car out again to pick up a guest at Shriners Hospital. Apparently taxis don't go to that 'hood.

Given the tips I got tonight for these acts of kindness, I'm thinking I should open a car service.

Guess not. If that happened at my high school, the kids would be lauded as heroes.

Action Park, aka Accident Park, in Vernon Valley NJ.

Got to go there once before it closed. Loved jumping off the cliff into the pool, which IIRC was a large part of their undoing from too many dumb kids trying to flip after cliff jumping and breaking their necks at water impact.

Having worked in the next town over, probably not.

Broad St. in North Philly. That's definitely the 'hood. I've been to the hospital next door - Temple. After the sun sets, either stay on Broad St. or don't go beyond the hospitals. It's really bad in that area, sadly.

I thought this woman was at Temple and went there instead. Shriners is a hole in the wall and I think I drove right by her the first time.
