I was looking to book a ticket CRP-IAH-FRA-OTP and I was looking at an M or B fare to use miles for the upgrade. The ticket as an "M" fare come in at $3765, a "B" fare that is supposed to be a higher fare at $3195, a "Y" fare at $5161 and a "D" fare at $4950. What is up with that?
The M fares are often available on non-stops only so you'd have to construct the trip you are looking for as a couple different fares rather than a single fare for the B. And it is entirely possible that the D fare has different restrictions than the Y fare that make it less flexible. CO publishes a CRP-BUH fare: CO CRPBUH B1FFE fare (rules) , psgr type ADT $1457.50 That gets you all the way. I don't see an M fare published by CO in that market. I've not looked up the rules on the D fares in question but there is probably something in there that makes them more restrictive. |

I would really like to use the Outlook export option but think it would be better if it:
Produced multiple outlook appointments for the entire itinerary - one per flight. Currently if I book a weeklong trip the appointment spans the entire week and blocks my calendar from the start to the end of the trip. Another option, but IHMO not as useful, would be to default the appointment to not show busy for the entire time. It would be ideal if this was configurable for each user based on specific needs. Thanks!! |
IIRC, there's a bug in Outlook 2003 where multiple events embedded in one vCal (vcs) file are not recognized, Outlook only picks up the first event. Not sure if this was fixed in Outlook 2007.

I think CO made some changes to the website last night.
Noticed "No activity" listed on my account last night. Today, went in and tried to upgrade a flight with miles (domestic). It is asking me for a $100.00 co-pay as well as 15k miles each way. It recognizes me as a platinum, but doesn't waive the fees. This happened a while back but got fixed. ---- Also, on a side, noticed that "Traveller ID" now shows up in all my reservations -- which didn't always occur, but now when I go to update "Edit traveller info" (i.e change a phone number, etc) and then save it, I get: ! We could not process your request. Please see the message below and make revisions. ! The name of the traveler entered does not match the name associated with the Frequent Flyer account number (XXXXXXXX) you entered for this traveler. Please revise either the traveler’s name, the account number or both. :td::td: |

The Preview site which has been under review/testing for the past week or so was moved to production this morning. Apparently a few glitches are still present.
I assume CO looks at these issues posted here? Thanks again! |
The 'Upgrade Reservation' option on my recently ticket reservation is not showing a fare-difference buy-up, but the mileage upgrades include a $50 co-pay, even though the same page indicates I'm a Platinum Elite.
That co-pay should not be there. |

View seat map on PDA site 3+ days from departure?
Why is the seat map only available for flights departing within 3 days on the pda site? It seems like an arbitrary choice, so any chance this can be extended?
Does anybody know of a way to do this other than logging in to the main site? |
HNL upgrade no-BF copy via LAX/SNA
Hi Scott,
About 3 weeks ago I called .com support to report that searching itineraries to Hawaii with OnePass reward upgrades returns copays even when the flights are not via IAH or EWR BF routes (e.g. MCO-IAH-LAX-HNL). Seaching LAX-Hawaii works correctly, but just about all other departure points trigger a copay. Wondering if this is a well-known problem that is being worked. (I searched this thread for 'HNL', but didn't see it mentioned up-thread). I ended up calling in to process an upgrade. Unfortunately, this led to my parents getting a call 2 days later saying they owed $2,000 for their BF upgrades. While I'm on the topic of Hawaii.. Can you comment whether LAX-HNL premium class passengers have access to the PC or not. As this route is no-longer BF, I can understand if not, given the governing rules. However, I thought given the long history of HNL-bound passengers using the club that perhaps the LAX agents were still allowing entry. I sent an email to PC asking this same question, and unfortunately the response I got was "only BF passengers to HNL can use the lounge in Los Angeles" I had pointed out that there are no BF passengers now in LA to Hawaii - maybe they are expecting some people to go LAX-IAH/EWR-HNL?? thanks |
On the PDA site it is impossible to find any info on CO from EWR-TLV for 03/02.
When you type in CO90 or type in EWR-TLV and click on CO90 it just brings up the CO90 flight from LAX-EWR. Seems to work fine for 02/28 and 03/01, it only happens when looking for 03/02. Update: You also can't access any info about the flight on the main CO.com site. |
Can't find out ETC expiration date on CO.com
Being able to check the balance on an ETC (done here) is a really convenient thing.
One added feature would be really nice: Being able to see the expiration date for said ETC. |
Issues with direct flights (thru flights)
Hi Scott,
I have noticed the following problems with direct flights that involve both domestic and international flights. 1) CO's website does not allow you to see the seat map or change the seat assignment. 2) EUA is not possible (for the domestic leg). 3) The gate agent cannot even add you to the regular upgrade list (for a battlefield upgrades) 4) Miles posted correspond to a nonstop flight, i.e. less than the aggregate mileages for each of the separate flights (and inconsistent with the mileage calculator on CO website). Some in this forum have suggested that one can split the reservation into individual flights, which may result in a minor increase in airport taxes. If so... please make this a simple thing to do when I book my ticket online. However, others have recently reported that this did not resolve these issues (at least not all of them). I recently flew on CO 41 from Rome to SFO via EWR and had all of the above problems. Because I did not know better, I wasted much time and so did several CO representatives who tried their best to resolve these problems. One told me that more direct/thru flights are coming (for marketing reasons). So it would be great if these problems could be resolved asap. |
Noticed some afternoon maintenance and now it seems that the seatmaps are not working (seat map opens but seats are not displayed).
|
Multiple destination ticket upgrade offer - no checkbox appears next to the 2nd flight even though it indicates upgrade seats are available. See screen cap below. Also unclear if I select flight #1 upgrade or flight #3 upgrade, would flight #2 get automatically included with one of these for upgrade?
