I paid to upgrade a segment EWR-SFO. Once the purchase was complete, the fare class showed as ZE but now reads:

OnePass Miles/
Elite Qualification*:
2,565 /0%

I believe that I bought up to a B fare. Shouldn't it read 2,565/150%?

Yup, but that hasn't ever worked. You'll get credited correctly.

Nitpicky, but truth in advertising is the law...

When you click the offer to buy up to first class, one of the photos shows a man in a domestic first seat lying back, and enjoying the comfort of...a PILLOW and BLANKET.

Fix it before someone comes to expect such luxurious comforts with their cash buy up. Or better yet, put the topping back on the pizza and put the pillows back on in First.

New Sleeper Seats? Which flights

Flying to PVG next month. How do you know which 777's have the new flat bed?

You check the in-flight amenities page on http://pda.continental.com a couple days in advance of your flight and it will tell you the details on which aircraft is assigned to the route, including if you have lie-flat seats.

Though be sure to remember that details are subject to change etc. etc.

Names not displaying correctly?

How come CO.com cant/doesnt display names correctly and this carries over to boarding passes and receipts/itins?

Ex 1. the first name and middle initial get combined into one word eg. "John A. Doe" becomes "JohnA Doe"?

Ex 2. Last names get combined eg. "John A. Smith Jones" becomes "JohnA SmithJones"

this can be a particularly confusing problem for people from latin american countries who have two surnames that are not hyphenated.

If, as we are told, the TSA requires names appear on travel documents exactly as they do identity documents, it seems to me this can cause some problems when TSA robots dont bother to use any common sense.

thanks

Is it just me, or have there been a lot more problems than usual with co.com in the past few weeks? Anyways, I tried to check the status of CO90, and it said it couldn't because it didn't have gate information, which is weird for two reasons: 1. that hasn't stopped them before, and they just wouldn't write the gate number, and 2. the flight is supposed to land in a few hours, how could they not have gate information?!! (it already took off!)
Then, I tried playing around with different combinations to see if they had info on either 90 or 84 for the past few days (both do EWR-TLV) and the only info it had was for 84 from Sunday; in fact, when I tried to get the status of 90 on Sunday, it forwarded me to the info on flight 84

The TSA requirements aren't nearly as rigid as you've been led to believe. Different GDSes map the name fields slightly differently so they print differently. It won't actually be a problem while traveling.

Just because a plane is in the air doesn't mean that it has an arrival gate assigned. It may have had one and had to change because another plane is stuck at the gate and won't clear in time, for example. I highly recommend you attend a Do that involves a Ramp Tower tour if possible. You'll learn a TON about gate assignments and management of those resources and that would help you understand those bits better.

I have had one issue happen twice.

Last Nov I booked a ticket to personal card, and it charged to my expense card, I thought ok this is a fluke and I did something wrong. Well, it did it again last week now.

I normally book on the card that card, but for some leisure trips I prefer not to have to report all those costs to finance dept :D

However, its done the same thing twice now and 100% sure this time that I did it to my personal leisure card, yet still went to my expense card.

joshwex90 Feb 16, 2010 4:19 pm

Booked a ticket in either V or H, and finished everything, paid... Then, when I went to check the reservation again, it listed me in D and let me choose seats up front! I asked Continental about this, and they said I owe them $3000  The rep told me that someone changed the reservation, but I still need to pay the difference in fare and the penalty (even though apparently this change was made within 24 hours)...how could CO bump me up to BF w/o first making sure payment went through?!?! AND WHO BUMPED ME!!

Outlook Export Enhancement Request

I would really like to use the Outlook export option but think it would be better if it:

Produced multiple outlook appointments for the entire itinerary - one per flight. Currently if I book a weeklong trip the appointment spans the entire week and blocks my calendar from the start to the end of the trip.

Another option, but IHMO not as useful, would be to default the appointment to not show busy for the entire time.

It would be ideal if this was configurable for each user based on specific needs.

Thanks!!

I was looking to book a ticket CRP-IAH-FRA-OTP and I was looking at an M or B fare to use miles for the upgrade. The ticket as an "M" fare come in at $3765, a "B" fare that is supposed to be a higher fare at $3195, a "Y" fare at $5161 and a "D" fare at $4950. What is up with that?

I ended up booking a ticket with Delta, flying KLM - IAH-AMS-OTP and back at $2575 RT and used a pair of platinum medalion upgrade certificates. Apparently they work on DL codeshares with KLM but not with AF codeshares.

I booked a reservation on co.com using a TC. I just canceled the reservation and rather then issuing a refund (i used a partial TC and partial CC), it told me to pull up the inactive itin for reuse.

I attempted to do that, but co.com wanted to charge me the $150 change fee even though it was canceled within 24 hours and there shouldn't have been a change fee.
