The flight search no longer works in the Opera browser. You get sent to an infinite loop showing "Object moved here."

Funny math on my upcoming PHX-CLE flight in Sept:

19SEP09 CO1568 PHX 11:10 ---> CLE 18:00. Flight time: 4H 50M.

That'd be 3 hours, 50 minutes by my math. ;)

Perhaps someone forgot we do not observe DST here when calculating flight duration.

Earned Silver Elite status about 2-3 weeks ago, but system does not show 125% / 500 mile minimum when making/viewing reservations.

i.e., CLE-ORD showing as:

316 /100%

when it should be 500 / 125%, no ?

... fortunately the 500 miles did post correctly to my account.

Continental Express and B-Ups...

With the B-up / M-ups for elites / plats, please make a way to split up a connecting flight that begins in a spoke on one of the regional partners (express, colgan, etc.)

Living in a spoke, there are no B fares between my home airport and my hub. It goes from the standard fares straight to full fare Y.

I've had numerous times the past weeks when I'd have gladly paid extra to bring the second leg from my hub to my final destination to a B fare and secure my upgrade in advance. I can't, though, because these fares don't exist for the first leg of my trip to my hub.

Many thanks.

You can call co.com support when you get to the payment page and they can change the fare classes on a per-segment basis (fare rules permitting). You can check to see if it's possible by constructing the trip as multi-city on itasoftware.com - just specify the fare class for each segment... for example:

alb-ewr::o:co
ewr-iah::o:co /f:bc=Y,BC=B,BC=M
...

Its been a while since I flew CO. I just booked a HKG-EWR , however the only flight avaible was a HKG-NRT-EWR on the inbound. The HKG-NRT is operated by ANA!? I guess this is due to CO joing *A, but when I booked the ticket it stated I need to wait 24 hours for them to check with ANA. This was all done on CO website.

Just want to know if this is normal, and want to make sure that the ticket will go through without a problem.

Thanks!

Yes - but I'd check and call co.com support if it isn't ticketed at the 24 hour mark.

Lost Held Reservations

I always have an issue when holding reservations for 24-hours. The reservation always gets drop from my itineraries prior to the 24-hour window. 1/2 the time when I write down the reservation, it cannot be found within the 24-hour window online. I wish they would fix this bug because it makes travel planning difficult.

online checkin split reservation and changed seat!

I went to continental.com to check my family in for our vacation. I had carefully booked 4 seats (ABCD) in the same row for each of three segments. As I was checking in I goofed and said okay to getting into the elite upgrade queue. As a result, co.com split my reservation apart from my family and changed my seat assignment in coach. I understand splitting the records but why did it mess with my seat assignment prior to upgrade? Totally unnecessary. A bug in the software, I suppose. I would guess that as it created the new record, it picked a new seat using my profile settings. As a result I moved from the front of coach to the back and away from my family.

I called the elite desk to fix this. Couldn't seem to recombine the records, but I got my seats back. For some reason, the only way to fix this was to cancel the 2nd record and create a third record. Good thing I double checked on the web site because the agent didn't tell me that my confirmation number had changed yet again.

Continental is a great airline; I just wish that their website was as good as the rest of the company.

This is happening to me, too. I'm also getting an error everytime I try to view seat maps for purchased itineraries.

When attempting to refund a refundable fare, past departure and when the segs are cancelled by the airport, the "refund to original form of payment" option is not displayed. I

I've seen this a few times. I am really glad that a new option that offered to cut an ETC was there.

I am a CO Gold Elite. When making or viewing reservations it does not show the flights as 500 mile even if you are logged in. But, it WILL post the correct 500 mile. I am sorry to say you are incorrect about the 125%. It is 25% - reference:

"US Helicopter flights operate hourly, Monday through Friday from 1:15 p.m. to 7:40 p.m., connecting Continental's Terminal C at Liberty to the Downtown Manhattan Heliport near Wall Street and the East 34th Street Heliport in Midtown Manhattan with an eight-minute travel time."

How come whenever I look at the timetable on Continental.com for flights from TSS (34th St.) to EWR it always shows the last flight goes at 4:30 p.m., but when i go to www.flyush.com, I can find flights as late as 7:40 p.m.? Why wouldn't CO be offering the flights? Same is true if leaving from JRB.

Moreover, aside form teh timetable, when I try to actually search for a flight to buy on CO.com, I get the message "Continental or its partners offers service between New York, NY (TSS - East 34th St. Heliport) and New York/Newark, NJ (EWR - Liberty) on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays. Please modify your search criteria." Even though the timetable shows flights (albeit in the faulty manner above) and even though i am already searching on one of the weekdays specified.

Soooooo annoying and useless.

peace,
~Ben~
