Interesting observation regarding VS codeshares.
Searching BOS-LHR from the front page will only pull up the connecting flights via EWR without even an option for the non-stop codeshare on VS listed at the bottom of the search list. I know it's in CO's interest to sell you flights only on their metal but since the non-stop is nearly double the price of the connecting EWR flight why not at least least it and give people the option? You have to force the search using the non stop flights only checkbox. Also the flight pulls up as an "E" class fare which is 0% EQM earning via Onepass. Of course the itinerary lists "OnePass Miles/Elite Qualification*: 3,265 /100%" with a very small print disclaimer for the * which reads: Miles shown are the actual miles flown for this segment. Fare class, Elite Qualification Miles and other promotional bonuses are not included in the total miles shown. OnePass miles are not awarded for travel on airlines that are not OnePass partners. Miles indicated for non-partner flights or flight segments will not be awarded. OnePass miles earned will vary depending on the Elite status of the customer. You have to go dig around in the Onepass partners page to discover that E is not an EQM earning fare class. I wish the website would simply put up 0% for the EQMs as I'm sure there have been plenty of people burned by this. |

problem booking reservation thru corp. travel website
I just tried to book a reservation through my corporate travel website. My corporate travel website showed the reservation properly (both outbound and inbound), but CO.com only showed the inbound flight. I called the Elite line, they looked up my reservation and only saw the inbound flight as well (and commented that I did not show up on the outbound manifest for the flights I wanted).
I had not ticketed the flight yet (only reserved it), so I cancelled the reservation through my corportate site and re-booked the reservation, which showed properly on CO.com the 2nd time around. |
I had a schedule change occur on a SFO-EWR-LIM-EWR-SFO itinerary a few weeks ago which I accepted on line.
This weekend, I receive a call from CO asking me if I meant to drop my EWR-SFO leg. Obviously I did not, but during the process of me accepting the schedule change, it chose to drop the last segment out of my itinerary. |
When buying tickets to SMR, co.com refers to "Santa Marta, Columbia".
It should obviously be "Colombia". Perhaps somebody at CO needs to review all the Colombian destinations and remove the "Columbias". I think it's probably annoying to many Colombians that Continental seems to always spell the name of their country incorrectly. |
Co.com is not allowing me to redeem the Chase Free Companion Ticket voucher online. I get the following message:
! Continental.com was unable to retrieve the rule(s) pertaining to the program at this time. Please contact the Electronic Support Desk at 1-800-300-1547 for assistance in redeeming your eCertificate offer. |

This continues to be a major problem for reservations with partner airlines in the record.
Viewing a reservation with changes highlighted in red, can result in flight segments being cancelled, if you accept changes online. This just happened to me with reward tickets on DL and KE. It has happened in the past with a domestic only reward on DL, and reward travel on QF. THIS REALLY IS A MAJOR PROBLEM. Call the CO QF/EVA Partner desk in Salt Lake and ask those folks how bad it is. People are having reservations deleted (and cancelled). Sometimes it only gets cancelled out of the CO system, but maybe I have called immediately before it had a chance to sync to the partner's systems. TO ALL: Under no circumstances should you accept changes online. Rather call the CO tech support number for SkyTeam flights and CO's QF/EVA desk for any tickets with those airlines. |
some interesting flight times on partner flights from my reservation :D

Two weeks ago I booked a flight for tomorrow (3/2) and received a confirmation email & confirmation number. When attempting to check in today, I am told that no such confirmation number exists. Basically, no e-ticket was generated and my credit card wasn't charged :( Anyone else have this happen??

Update - I had to talk to several Elite desk reps but finally got one to rebook the flight for the same orig fare (departing) and higher fare for returning.
Lame but will now be checking my ETickets from now on... |
The rebooking engine is sufficiently broken. I went to change a SFO-LIM itin for May to Dec. I picked all the flights and past the payment screen when it told me i had to call in. Upon going back into the res, it changed some of the legs, left some of the original ones and dropped a LIM-EWR leg out.
A call to the elite desk fixed it, but it didn't look pretty. I've sent a message to CO Insider with a pdf of the res. |
**ATTN**
Not too sure what is going on, but when I am in a reservation mode, and I bring up the calendar, part of the left-hand-side of the calendar is cut off. It is extremely hard to advance the months with this glitch....

Chasing Sunset - yes, many times. They really need to fix it, as it means you are not on any of the upgrade lists, can't check on-line, etc.
It happened to me for several times in one period. I e-mailed both the cocares people and then spent about 1 hour on the phone with various elite reps over a long period of time, and though we never discovered exactly what the problem was, it has not happened since. Still - they need to fix this, it is awful. |
Anyone else getting a glitch on viewing current reservations with the milage dropping off on various segments?
My CLE-EWR-ZRH-EWR-CLE currently reads OnePass Members: Upon completion of this itinerary, you will earn up to 1,000 OnePass miles.* |

However, in another view there's a slightly bigger problem: http://img126.imageshack.us/img126/2529/cutoff.jpg When you are in "calendar fare" mode (as seen in screenshot), you can't even really use the calendar. I see the same problem in Firefox 3.1 Beta 2 and on my G1 Google phone. |
