Nope. He bought the tickets two months ago, and I don't think he's ever paid full-fare for a ticket in his life (I've known him 10+ years, and he's one of my best friends). Btw both he and his traveling companion got EliteAccess cards.

I occassionally run into problems using the DD/MM/YYYY notation for dates on co.com. Today it was when trying to set up flight alerts for a just-booked trip. When I entered the date "02/07/2008" I received the error:
Only dates between 23 Apr., 2008 and 26 Mar., 2009 can be accepted for the Depart Date. Please modify the Depart Date and or Depart Date Time.

ST2 will remain on the boarding pass for a few months later for some reason. That probably gave him EliteAccess, see if you can check his boarding pass and see.

Yes. My preferences are set to DD/MM/YYYY. 02/07/2008 is 2 July 2008, well within the quoted acceptable range of 23 Apr., 2008 and 26 Mar., 2009.

pda.continental.com or wap.continental.com does not work on my Nokia 6086 phone. I keep getting file format unknown. It works fine with every other website around. Only the mobile website for co.com does not work.

Major problems (for me) on CO.com today

Error messages when trying to book a reservation. All kinds of glitches throughout the process. The reservation is not showing up under My Reservations. Now when I put in the confirmation # I get a combination of someone else's and my reservation. I am going to PM it to Scott but it's very whacky.

really, wow. i had no problems at all. In fact i made a mistake on the departure date, I called and it is was fixed without a change fee or me having to cancel the reservation and create a new one. Got a very helpful lady at the call center.

I hope this is just an isolated case for you and they fix it post haste

I just used the "Upgrade Reservation Using Miles" function on Continental.com to upgrade an EWR-CDG B fare to BusinessFirst, and it gave me the upgrade for $0 and 0 miles! Never had to enter my PIN or select a method of payment.

When I look at the reservation, it appears that it was indeed upgraded to F. I'm wondering now whether or not I should call Continental to beg them to take my miles and $$$...

I'm using Firefox 3 Beta 5 and clicking on links from emails, it fails on the valid SSL cert. In the emails, the links just point to http://continental.com... but the SSL cert itself is issued to www.continental.com.

Changing the URL to add the 'www.' did the trick or just adding an exception for continental.com. Though, average folk may get confused and not know what to do.

The URLs in the emails really should have the 'www.' to match the SSL cert name.

Two things,

First when buying a "Y" fare, the website used to provide you an option to upgrade and then would display a seatmap for the FC cabin.

Now, it does "AU" you, but displays the coach seat map.

Second, I have requested to receive a Text Message for my trip alerts but I also receive a phone call witch I am not interested in. Is there a way to only recive a Text message? If not, that would be a nice option to add.

Question

Twice now, last week Monday and again Today, I have received this error message when trying to check-in at the 24 hour mark. This happens when typing the confirmation number in the "print boarding pass" box on the co.com home page, as well as the "check in now" link on the itinerary summary. Seemingly seconds later, check-in works.

Unable to Complete Check-in
------------------------------------------------------------------------
We are unable to complete the check-in process as your flight departs in less than one hour. Airport check-in is required.

I always have that happen in the first few seconds at the 24 hr mark. Never a problem when checking in at the 23:59:45 mark.
