Hey guys...... possible change of location.... :-\
I just called Rock Bottom to reserve a spot, and I was told that no reservations are accepted for the bar--- and it will likely be very crowded Wed. night. We can reserve a table in the restaurant, but there's a $7 min. per person, plus 18% gratuity. I asked how long the wait may be for a group of 15-- she said 1 to 2 hours.
I called Unos in Ballston, and was able to reserve for 15 people no problem. There is no minimum per person, and they add 17.5% gratuity.
So..... I propose that we have the Happy Hour at Unos to ensure we have comfortable guaranteed seeting. Thoughts???

I plan on being there. Just try and finaize up the location before Wednesday so we're not split half and half, and you may wanna try to bump this sometime tommorrow so that people who don't read the board everyday look to read and realize that we've changed locations.

I'm sorry I cannot make it this time due to schedule conflicts. I need to be in DC but it looks like it will be right before New Years. Rats. And it was going to be at my hangout when I am there.

How about this ????
We'll meet at Rockbottom as planned and then if things are too busy there we can move over to Unos
Viajero: I don't know the distance between the two .. is a walk from one to the other possible....

They're directly across the street. Unos is at 4201 Wilson Blvd-- Rock Bottom is 4238 Wilson Blvd.
The reservation for 15 people at 7:00 is under the name FlyerTalk.
Nothing's stopping me from keeping the reservation I have at Unos..... guess I'm a little worried about latecomers in case we do migrate.

Ballston is on the way home now so sure, will try to make it by. It is okay Uno mas, but would prefer Rock Bottom as I have never been there and then go to Unos for dinner after a beer.
Also, there is a Hilton a block away if anyone is still doing CNTU or HHonors year end stay. ;o)
VJ, will be downtown in your neighborhood all day so will give you a buzz for coffee or lunch.

I would like to swing by if it is open to newcomers. If that pesky final segment posts tomorrow then I will make US CP so it would be good to be among people who understand the significance.
It's a bit unclear re the venue. How would I recognize the group?

gnaget, you and all others are MORE THAN WELCOME to join us.
We DC regulars don't bite-- and I hope by tomorrow PM you do have something to celebrate re. your segments.
Ideal-- tomorrow will probably be a working lunch if I want to get out of the office in time for Happy Hour....
How to identify us? I will have a blue and yellow Univ. of Michigan jacket-- you can't miss it.
Final decision (since the democratic thing isn't working well, guess I'll take the lead):
MEET AT ROCK BOTTOM. If they absolutely cannot accommodate us, the group can decide to migrate to Unos later-- the 7:00 reservation should be good for a short while after-- but since I think more people read the original idea of Rock Bottom, I think this will cause the least confusion.
