whlinder, there sure is: on Wilson Blvd. across the street from the mall. Looked right at it while at Memphis BBQ on Tues. Have eaten there, too.

Last night was really fun-- drew FTers from far and wide (YVR). Of note, especally for a DC based event, was the lack of US cockroaches... although I wonder if UA flyers can be considered honorary cockroaches.

Looking forward to next month. Someone mentioned "Why Thurs.?" so I bring that forward: thoughts for or against? For me, Thurs. works well-- but this is majority rules, right?

I missed it because Bethesda was too far for me to get back to DCA for my flight. Ballston or DC would be nice next time. I can often be found at the Rock Bottom at the Ballston mall since I usually visit one of our offices across the street.

I may have some of our new cockroach pins for those die hard US fans if I can get there next time.

I like Thursdays because I figure on Friday, you're competing with like a dozen different things that folks want to do. Plus, on a Friday night, seating is more difficult to find because you've got a lot more people out.

Just my two cents.

As I live and work in Alexandria, I'd be game for meeting someplace in Ballston. I also like the Rock Bottom Brewery or if you want mexican again, there is Chevy's. Maybe at a future happy hour we can meet at some place in Old Town?

MDTONY and all:

Thanks guys, I'm glad I was able to hook up with you last night. It was really good to put a few names and faces together and share a glass or two. I'm glad your monthly get-together matched my business trip.

Cheers

mpc1 - Glad you could make it. Sorry the Caps couldn't put a mark in the W column for your game. Seems to be par for the course these days. Hope you enjoyed otherwise. Come back and visit.

Bump.....

Thoughts for a date in Dec? I'm thinking the week of Dec. 16.......

Tues. or Wed. may be better since people might have holiday plans toward Thurs.

The week of the 16th is probably a good time. I think that Thursday would work out well because people would be looking to do one last thing before heading out of town.

It might be a lot of fun. We should pick some place with a Christmas theme.

That Thursday is bad for me, so Tue or Wed would definitely work well
