We've fallen all the way to page two.
Are people hesitant to officailly say they are coming, or is the date bad? We can always push it back a week.
Right now there are about 5 of us. If anyone is thinking about coming please email me so I can list you as a maybe.
David

David,
I wouldn't worry too much... we usually have a few unannounced guests. In the past, a reservation for about 15 seats has been fine, with maybe 10-12 showing up.

Review of last nights event at Ozio.
Very fun, Flyertalk people are great, no wonder these community-events are so popular right now. There's nothing uncomfortable b/c we have so much in common.
Early on, with only 3 members present, the event was crashed by a very cool reporter from the Washington Post. We spoke like FlyerTalkers, not business travelers, so the article (next Wednesday's issue) should be interesting.
Myself, I don't feel that representative of the business traveler community, so if you like to add some thoughts please email Keith at [email protected].
The next event is scheduled for March 13th. The debate is whether or not to stay downtown or try to rotate to Virginia. As much as we're all out-of-town, I vote for a standing date and location in DC.
Please post or email your thoughts.

As long as were shooting out ideas for the upcoming months, I think the 19's are good for March and April. March 19th a Wednesday night I believe should be OK for everyone (location yet to be agreed on). And then I think for April, on April 19th (location undecided)and then maybe every few months or so we should move to doing a weekend event so that the people who are more northernly located have a chance to come down and partake in Viajero's Joven vast knowledge of FF programs.
Any ideas, comments, etc...

I have a restaurant suggestion:
94th Aero Squadron Restaurant
The 94th Aero Squadron over looks the runway of College Park Airport, the oldest, continuously operating airport in the world. The entire dining room faces this historic airport, and its lights lend to our special atmosphere.
We could also tour the museum at the airport before dinner if anyone would be interested. College Park Aviation Museum

We usually pick someplace on the Metro line. However, if we do pick this place or someplace else not on the Metro line for April's weekend meal, I'd be willing to pick people up at a Metro station.

There is a metro station only about a 10 minute walk from the restaurant. I'm going to start a separate thread and see if there is interest after I hear back from SeeYa and IAHflyer whether the dates would work for them. I could pick people up as well or folks could taking the train could try and meet at the station and walk together.
btw, if we get 10 or more people we can arrange for a private tour of the museum

This sounds like a great idea to me. I think we should pencil this one in. Why don't we get a list going of who all is coming in by Metro so we can make arrangements so that we all end up at the same place at close to the same time.

I was just about to post saying that the 19th was good for both months... but with Easter weekend, let's just do the 12th on both.
Next event 3/12 in DC or VA
April event 4/12 in College Park, MD
Tazi, the restaurant and museum sound great.
